There's Paradise Syndrome, a great (half) Spock episode. But not really a Vulcan episode, we learn that while Spock is a wonderful first officer/science officer, as a Starship commander not so much.

Nothing Vulcan especially jumps out of the episode.

Similarly, The Tholian Web, a lot about Spock, not much Vulcan.

"Gravity" from VOY Season 5 is a good one. Beginning and ending, plus throughout, flashbacks to Tuvok's youth and lessons learning to control his emotions, with a Vulcan Priest.

The Vulcan in the DS9 episode "Field of Fire", came so far out of left-field in terms of a solution, only coming into the picture right at the end, I don't really think of that. More a shock resolution for anyone trying to predict the outcome. "Take Me Out to the Holosuite" features more Vulcan interaction, not to mention motivation - providing an old rival, to get under Sisko's skin. Still not that focused, besides showing Vulcans are capable of being obnoxious and acting superior over humankind - for ENT to take closer to its logical start.

Deals with a Vulcan acting without emotional control...

I don't consider it a very Vulcan episode at all.

Since it's an episode with a Vulcan as the main focus...it's kinda explicit...

I chose it in part because it shows how very lonely following the teachings of Surak can be. The episode would have not been all that memorable if it had only shown a happy go lucky Tuvok. But it also showed how frighteningly immediate Vulcan emotions can be. When he is upset at not being able to recall details about the attack he lashes out in a way that would be par for the course from a Klingon or even under certain circumstances a human. But from a Vulcan? Deeply disturbing.

I agree with your assessment of Gravity.

As for Field of Fire, and Take Me Out to the Holosuite, I chose them for a couple of reasons. One it was my preference to find at least one episode from each series. But also I do feel that in a subtle way they give us some interesting perspective on Vulcans.

In Field, we learn that Vulcans can suffer psychotic breaks just like a human, and that their commitment to non emotionalism can be taken to a disturbing extreme.

For Take Me Out... I chose it because it shows that even in the 24th century Vulcans tend to keep to themselves more often than not. Therefore any interspecies friendships between a Vulcan and a non Vulcan especially a human is a very rare thing indeed.
