Voyager self-destruct

Yeah, an hour of ship debris and over 100 bodies floating around in space might not pull many viewers.

But it would be so sad!

And then next episode you just start with a whole different ship, but full of sad people because of what happened with the last ship.

I couldn't help but noice that Janeway's code is "Janeway pi 110"

Female captain. Pie. Me thinks someone was having a rude little joke.

Would someone kindly explain? I am not a native English speaker and I cant see how the word "pie" is rude or a joke.

a PM would be appreciated if this is inappropriate or too off-topic.

The Greek letter Pi.

Mathematically Pi can mean how many times you can rap a radius around a circumference.

The first episode of VOY should've been the ship blowing up and everyone dead in the future, then the 2nd episode through Season 7 would be the events leading up to that eventuality, or perhaps them trying to avoid that fate.... just thinking out loud here :borg:

For some reason, this seems familiar, like a Trek episode I saw once, clawing at the back of my brain

You may be thinking of TNG: Cause and Effect, where the ship blows up in the teaser, and they spend the rest of the episode trying to figure out what's going on.

Ah, right on! Thanks, that's exactly what I was thinking of :)
