No, I generally agree, freak. My only complaint is that the promise (and premise) wasn't followed through to a greater degree.

Voyager could have been the greatest Trek of all time. For me it is, of course, but I do acknowledge its flaws. But I love it as the way it is (excluding Threshold and Endshame).

And see, that's the nice thing about most of us Trekkies (the cool ones anyway) - we can love Trek and hate Trek at the same time.

It's taken me years to realize and admit that my beloved TNG is far from perfect, but I still love it.

I think TNG may even have more flaws than Voyager. But who cares? Not me. I love both TNG and VOY and I like DS9 a lot.

They are a mix of personalities... together they make what is Star Trek. Anybody who outright hates one of them does themselves a disservice. IMHO.

I think part of the fun is picking them apart, so long as you can still let yourself enjoy what you enjoy.
