Voyager Novels

Truth be told I really don't know which Voyager books are worth reading. When I had a look on Amazon a lot of the premises of the early ones just did not sound that interesting.
There is also this issue that a lot of reviewers tend to hype up the books, I doubt that almost each and any one of then of them is a must read for a Star Trek fan.

I’ve read all the Voyager novels, and the pre-Endgame ones are good. The only major issue is #11, “The Garden”, which has like 5 chapters and each chapter is about 60 pages in length.

I like "The Garden". A slowly built-up exciting story and a twist in the tale at the end.

True story: THE BLACK SHORE was originally (and unimaginatively) titled PARADISE, but my editor thought that was a little too close to THE GARDEN for comfort. A good call.

Speaking of chapters, I recently reread a couple of old horror novels (by the late Leslie Whitten) that had no chapter breaks at all; it was just one long continuous narrative that went on for hundreds of pages.. It worked surprisingly well when it came to keeping me turning the pages. It also kept me up too late a few nights.

I am curious as to how the project full circle arc will end. With the possibility of the Trek novels finally getting into and past 2387 opening up I wonder what role Voyager and its characters will play.

And aren't the Voyager novels set years before the Titan/TNG/DS9 stuff which is in 2386 at this point?

Yep, although Indistinguishable From Magic establishes that the Voyager fleet are still doing their thing in 2384ish.

Meaning the full circle thing lasts at least five years.

I can't get into the relaunch books that well. I prefer the Voyager novels set during the seven years in the DQ.

My favorite Star Trek book!

I read "The Black Shore" from beginning to end one Saturday afternoon the first time I read it. It was so exciting, I could only put down the book for some minutes to make coffee!
