Voyager Movie?

No it doesn't! If you've got money, you can make the film with a different cast playing the crew! If you've got a cast but no crew you're stuffed!

She won't play Seven, but what about Anika?

Remember how screwed and weak Clark Kent was in Superman II after he forsook his powers to be with his girl?

Hmmm you argue a lot. I may have been mistaken thinking you could see it my way as well as your own even for a minute. My mistake. It will not happen again.

I just don't like being misunderstood! I can see what you're saying, but I think the problem is that as fans, we often forget that there is a big picture to everything that happens in Trek!

What do you mean she won't play 7? Did she say that?

As to it being a crossover, just saying that it solves the problem of actors being unavailable. But then I guess I'm happy if Mulgrew and Ryan are in it and I can get over anyone else. That said Harry Kim was at his best old in Timeless IMHO so I think he could do it, being not exactly tied up with work these days.

As long as it was more interesting than 11:59..

We don't need an ancestor, Janeway like Kirk seems to attract time travel. We can have Admiral Janeway stuck in the past.

I was just sharing my view after reading another post which said pretty much the same thing I did. I do understand your views and respect them, though I still think whether the cast would want to do it is a big chunck of the pie needed to make a feature in the first place. Has anyone ever asked the Voyager cast the hypothetical question of reprising their roles for a movie or mini-series?

You're totally misunderstanding how television works if you think it'd be down to the cast whether or not it was made...

Without a cast of actors, there is no movie.
Without a cash investment, there are no actors.
Nobody works for free.

Ahh..thanks. And on the other hand when asked directly Mulgrew said she WOULD!

That's still not enough to greenlight a Voy, film.

Now I'm imagining Janeway being chased through the Starfleet Academy hangar by an awe-wielding Captain Braxton, as cadets flee for their lives...

:sigh:

After my pathetic hopeless fanboy responses to BillJ & exodus whether a VOY movie would happen wasn't the question but...
What would you have like to have seen in a Voyager movie???

It was always meant to be a fun..."what if?" ;)

Starfleet gets a distress call from Neelix - the Talaxian colony's under attack by Hirogen.

Janeway rounds up the old crew and brings them aboard the Quantum Slipstream-powered Voyager II, pulling rank on the captain and replacing him and his senior staff with the original Voyagers.

They fly off and whup the Hirogen's asses.

Oh, and Naomi's a member of the Voyager II's crew as an Ensign. Ditto Ichab. And Seven gets to wear proper civilian clothes and not the silly catsuit.

Written, directed and Produced by Tim Russ.

Starring Among others "Garret Wang".

Hollywood, et all, only allows fanfilms if no profit is generated.

On any level.

Including paying the actors.

I wonder if Garret was on set on time every morning when he wasn't being paid 22 thousand dollars an episode to be on time? Of course they also paid him 22 thousand dollars an episode to be a great actor. Not a different 22 thousand dollars. The same 22 thousand dollars. No wonder he felt so hard done by.
