Similer yet different. To me Faces was the first episode that featured the Vidiians as an actual enemy. Dawson's and McNeill's performances were phenomenal.
Well, a rip off doesn't have to be identical but all the main ideas are there. We could go through them if you wish but I'd rather let you discover them by yourself.
As you know, we do disagree on "Nemesis".
I like that one!
But when it comes to "Threshold", I must admit that I don't find it that bad. OK, maybe the worst episode of seasons 1,2 and 3. But it is actually funny in some places and if you do what I've done since I saw it the first time, regard it as a nightmare Paris had after eating too much of Neelix's food, then it's actually acceptable.
The worst Voyager episode and the worst episode made in any TV series can be found in season 6.

I can't believe there's someone that actually like Darkling! I hate absolutely everything in that episode.
I watched "Network" on one of my channels in the 90's and I have been using that phrase since then. It was actually aired here a couple of months ago too.

Well, to give an example the ramblings of "Mister Hyde" in the holodeck.
I also found Kes' boyfriend to be insufferable, I actually understood why dark doc beat the crap out of him. It's not a good sign when you're rooting for the "bad guy"...

I would have loved to have The Who's "Dr Jekyll And Mr Hyde" as background music to that:

Personally I thought Kes's boyfriend was OK.
As for episodes I dislike, well there are some episodes even in my beloved seasons 1,2 and 3 which I find a bit......well, not so good. "Emanations" was boring, "Elogium didn't lead anyway even if I do find Kes's beatle-eating and freaking out a bit funny. I didn't like "Blood Fever" and "Threshold".... well, it's funny if it's imagined as a nightmare.
But I prefer bad or boring episodes to insulting episodes and there is an episode in season 6 which I do find downright insulting. So far I haven't bought season 4-7 on DVD, however I might buy seasons 4, 5 and 7 in the future. But if Paramount removes a certain episode from season 6 or if I find a way to erase it on the DVD, then I buy season 6 immediately.

It's Fury where Kes returns as an old lady avenging her.. well no one ever figured out what.. and tears up the ship until she explodes.

I agree that it's a little out there but in the end she recovers and I am guessing even gives a hand for the repairs.
I thought it was hilarious but then I spent 3 seasons very much disliking the wise fairy deal with Kes so this was great stuff. However she's Lynx's favorite character so for him it was a little more personal.
