Game VOY Episode Pitch Game

"Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star": Told mostly from the POV of the Bersiorans, an alien race that has been watching USS Voyager through a telescope since they appeared in the Delta Quadrant, mistaking them first for a star or planet, then a giant asteroid that is set to crash into their planet and destroy it. Lacking spaceflight ability, the episode follows a Bersioran government aide, sworn to secrecy with the other officials, his wife, and their young daughter as he struggles with how to balance saving his family and friends with keeping chaos from breaking out planet-wide as certain doom closes in. Meanwhile, Voyager discovers the planet Bersior as they come closer to it and plan to do a planetary scan while in orbit - the crew speculate about what wonders the planet might hold.

Next episode: "Storehouse"

Voyager discovers a vast alien archive with instructions on achieving all kinds of things far beyond current Federation science. For example, information on how to change fundamental cosmological constants, how to transport to any point in the universe as easily as stepping into the next room, how to create impossibly strong and durable materials. And it offers this information freely.

Unfortunately, it turns out this information is as useless to them a as quantum mechanics textbook is to an opossum - they simply don't have the required level of consciousness to deal with this information. When they try anyway, they can only narrowly avoid a disaster on a scale usually only associated with Omega molecules. Finally, they settle on the next best solution: retrieve some of the information and hope that at some point in the far distant future, humanity can take advantage of it, only to find out that the information is too advanced to even be translated into a format suitable for Voyager's databanks. There's only static in the databanks after an attempted data transfer. Causing Janeway to morosely remark that they obviously aren't ready for this Promethean fire yet, and she orders them to resume a course to the AQ.

In the B-story, 7 reads through her parent's logs and processes the information (which Neelix' once mentioned a 'treasure trove').

"Saturnalia" - After a difficult couple of weeks, Voyager has a mystery on its hands; who is leaving uniquely personal gifts for random crew members? Everybody has a theory, but ultimately crew morale begins to improve. However, this charming mystery takes a more dangerous tone when subsequent gifts seem tailored to harm (poisonous, dangerous, distracting, sabotage, narcotic effects, etc) rather than cheer. Investigation reveals a cunning agent of the telepathic Usnaera, who hopes to seize the ship singlehandedly and earn a promotion for themselves.

Next episode: "Tailspin"

Tailspin: Voyager is mysteriously going in circles, despite having its course set for straight flight and its sensors verifying that it's not turning. With each circling, it gets tighter. Efforts to all-stop the engine are unsuccessful. With only 50 revolutions to go until Voyager is torn asunder when its warp field becomes unsustainably convoluted, they have very little time to determine what's causing this. Also, as the turns get tighter, the ship's internal environment gets more hostile.

Next: Down the Drain

"Down The Drain" - Hoping to barter for supplies of statium, a vital substance that enables replicated items to maintain cohesion, the crew of Voyager is surprised to see the citizens of Rhovena are eager to offload the material, even though it has the potential to save their dying world from hunger. There are people on the planet who believe the substance to be a forbidden fruit and are hoping to rid their people of the temptation, because those who ingested it gained abilities believed to be used for ill (aka normal cognition).

Next episode: "Outer Space"

Knights of K’zar

Voyager encounters a group of aliens who see themselves as knights on a quest for an alien version of the holy grail. Their story catches Tuvok's interest, when their story resembles an ancient legend from Surak time that some believe was about an ship-sized portal built by the Iconians. When similar names turns up in both the aliens' story and the Vulcan legend, Janeway reluctantly agrees to go on the quest, as it's normally not something Tuvok would suggest.

Next episode; Harry Kim and the Chamber of Secrets

"Harry Kim and the Chamber of Secrets" - While doing an inventory of shipboard resources, Kim finds a hidden compartment in the ship which contains a stash of materials that strongly suggests someone aboard ship was at one time planning some kind of attack/sabotage. He pokes around surreptitiously looking for answers, which raises suspicion in Tom's mind that Harry may be working on a (harmless) secret project of his own. Not knowing is annoying Paris; theories range from planning someone's birthday party to working on a way to get Voyager home to writing a novel.

Next episode: "Immaculate"

Immaculate

In the Kintari system, on a planet whose surface is covered by water with only a few small lifeless islands here and there, Voyager finds a sentient non-humanoid species that rather resembles a Common Cuttlefish in shape, although it is much larger in size. Their language is a combination of sounds and changing patterns on their skin. Their lifespan is measured in months rather than years, and as each previous generation dies when they reproduce, each generation has to reinvent itself from scratch as they have no written language or technology. They learn at speeds that amaze even Kes.

Voyager takes six months out of its search for a way back home to study this phenomenon.

Next episode: Crooked Ship

"Crooked Ship" -The Delta Flyer is detained for matching the description of a pirate ship that raided a Bursusian colony, absconding with controlled narcotic substances needed for survival on the world's harsh climate. Tom and Harry are held in custody while the ship is searched, and evidence is found that suggests their guilt. Voyager traces the real thief, a smooth-talking smuggler who's out of his league, and with a little playacting, they may be able to scare him into revealing his guilt. Tom and Harry try to charm their pretty jail guard into helping them escape.

Next episode: "Planting Seeds"

"Planting Seeds" - During lunch in the mess hall, disgruntled members of the crew - Lieutenant Walter Baxter and Crewman Jarvis - both agree that they regret staying on Voyager when they had the opportunity to leave years prior and stay with The 37s. Later that day, they are given an opportunity by Q’s wife to explore what it would have been like to stay behind with The 37’s when they had the chance to. And are granted the opportunity to take whatever technology they need with them, to live comfortably, if they desire their experience to be permanent.

Their first year on the settlement experience is peaceful, and they both make a life with the other settlers. Everything changes radically over the next decade, as Baxter and Jarvin experience the settlement being conquered by the Trabe and growing rapidly with the addition of Kazon slaves. Then the Trabe themselves are conquered by the Vaadwaur, which results in their deaths. And then centuries later they’re resurrected by the Kobali in a post-Borg Delta Quadrant, and get to tour Voyager and learn about how the ship managed to get home shortly after they left. While there is a tinge of regret for being reactionary about their circumstances, Baxter and Jarvin make due with the new lease on life they are given and take a posting on the newly constructed USS Relativity.

Meanwhile, at the end of the episode, Janeway is revealed to have pick up new crewmembers to replace the ones she lost over the years, including Baxter and Jarvin.

Next episode: “Kelbonite Caves” (https://memory-alpha.fandom.com/wiki/Kelbonite)

“Kelbonite Caves”: Seeking refuge from a violent storm on Ansudis that blows up out of nowhere, Harry and Chakotay hide in a shaft made of the titular substance just as there's a cave-in. When they awaken, it's to a life they have made for themselves which they cannot remember, furnished with tools they didn't create, stores of food they didn't gather, scars of healed past injuries...and a small village of friends, including a wife and child for Chakotay. As they work together to uncover the mystery of what happened, they learn that the area surrounding the cave is a bubble pocket produced by the cave minerals -a world tucked away on a world, which, if they attempt to leave, will collapse in on them and all inside will die, including them. In addition, the mineral prevents the retention of long-term memories, so they cannot remember one day to the next.

Next episode: "Apotheosis"

Apotheosis

Voyager
is suddenly whisked away (in an effect that somewhat resembles the transporter) and rematerializes in a surreal environment with other (alien) ships. It isn't long before they discover that, while retaining some agency of their own, they are also literally game pieces in a game between two hostile species.... a game that has the future of the galaxy at stake.

Next episode:

Tesseract

"Tesseract" - Voyager encounters a captured Borg cube that has been refurbished and repurposed into a flying palace by Ensork, an alien who fancies himself king of the cube, with the drones being reprogrammed to do the bidding of their master mindlessly. Seven and the Doctor pretends to be his drones in order to find a way to free the others. Meanwhile, Tom's latest challenge to the crew is a famous unsolved riddle from Klingon history that B'Elanna has secretly known the answer to for years - apparently, it's an open secret that it has been solved many times but nobody is allowed to claim it.

Next episode: "Immersion"

"Immersion" - A Krenim scientist, Annorax, is furiously entering calculations on his tablet when his wife invites him for a picnic. They visit a beautiful park and enjoy the day in each other's company when the sky darkens, and a black cloud shaped like a Federation starship appears overhead and obliterates the area.

In sickbay, the Doctor's mobile emitter sprouts robotic legs and scuttles into the ductwork of the ship.

Kes and Neelix are watching a soap opera on a monitor. Her eyes glued hypnotically to the screen. She is oblivious to all else in her environment, even Neelix's commentary on the program.

Captain Janeway is enjoying a full-bodied cup of real coffee. Neelix had secretly beamed up a generous stash during the Starling incident. She is totally enraptured by the flavor and aroma, oblivious to urgent calls for attention.

Tuvok is meditating in his quarters. A flaming candle has his complete attention. The flame grows brighter and brighter until he's blinded and his quarters are incinerated. The flames engulf the entire ship until it is a gutted hulk drifting in space.

Nearby, a tree-like entity floating in space grows leaves. Imprinted on each leaf is a scene of the disaster that has befallen Voyager.

A ship arrives at the space tree and harvests the leaves. These are the Harvesters. They feed off catastrophe.

As they process their crop, the Harvesters themselves suddenly burst into flame and re-form as Tuvok's candle.

In his quarters, Tuvok opens his eyes and snuffs the candle. He is troubled by what he has seen and seeks to discuss it with Janeway. What is the nature of this vision?

Next Episode: "Phage Discriminator"

"Phage Discriminator": Voyager finds a Vidian leper colony full of supposed phage victims who are free of the disease. Investigating, they find that the healthy bodies are projections, and the real patients are plugged into a simulator underground, living out healthy lives in their minds. They are close to death, and in order to save them somehow, a holoprogram built from their simulated experiences is created, as all their bodies are laid to rest. One of the patients reminds Tuvok of one of his children.

Next episode: "Hands Tied"

Voyager encounters a hostile vessel while passing through a sector of space controlled by a powerful, non-corporeal race. The race is able to break up their fight and explains to both vessels that they are in violation of their laws. Their punishment is a randomly selected member of each crew will be taken and forced to cooperate with each other to complete a series of tasks. Only when the tasks are complete will the two vessels be allowed to leave. B'Elanna Torres is selected from Voyager, along with one of the hostile aliens. Torres objects, but Janeway explains they need to cooperate with the aliens. The two are transported to a ship or space station where a number of puzzles stand in their way. While they don't work well together at first, Torres and the alien find some common ground, and do work together to solve the problem. At the end, the once-hostile aliens realize it was just a misunderstanding, and the two ships go their separate ways.

Next episode: "The Drain"

"The Drain": A Voyager away team comes to the rescue of a Fyrec ship that is badly in need of repairs after a radiation accident injured and killed many members of the crew. The special protection devices they're required to wear on the ship, unbeknownst to them, harvest technical and scientific knowledge from their minds as they work, leaving them unable to perform their duties once they return to Voyager. But it doesn't stop there; eventually, they begin to forget everything as they do it. The memories are distilled into a serum that the Fyrec can take when they need knowledge to do something. Can the Doctor restore the lost memories?

Next episode: "Shop Talk"

On what should have been a routine mission to gather some food resources, a Hirogen vessel stalks a shuttlecraft with Tom Paris, Neelix and the Doctor on board. After a quick skirmish, the shuttle is damaged and forced to land on a planet inhabited by a pre-warp civilization at a similar developmental level to mid-20th century Earth. With no way to repair the shuttle, the three must wait and hope that Voyager will find them and are forced to enter the population to survive. The Doctor is able to make them look like locals. Paris finds a job at what is essentially an auto-shop servicing the planets automobiles, which he finds remarkably similar to those of 1950's Earth. Paris befriends the shop owner and becomes engrossed in the work. When Voyager finds the crew, Paris is forced to make a difficult decision, having found true happiness on that world, working on cars.

Next Episode: "Deep Space... 10?"

"Deep Space... 10?" - Voyager happens upon an abandoned alien space station in working order in an area of space with no livable planets. Surmising it was a waypoint at one time for those that built it, the crew decide to dock there and do a bit of exploring. They are surprised to find evidence that they are not the first Starfleet personnel there - leftover uniforms, tech, etc, as well as a device that has been worked on, that looks like it could generate a small corridor that would allow transport to a faraway location. Eager to see if it works, B'Elanna tries to get it operational. Hopes are dashed when it turns out the machine killed those who used it, but it seems as though everyone from the prior group went through anyway, even after learning what it did...and they were not the first, either. What is it about this station that makes death preferable?
