I just got an email from them saying they've extended the free shipping deadline for the special features discs through May 24. I wonder whether they haven't received as much interest as they were hoping for, but that's just me speculating.

I'm surprised they haven't partnered with someone like Amazon (Which I think has What we left behind) and just streamed it there.

It's possible that Amazon was approached but wasn't interested.

VoyDoc Update on Physical Disc Fulfillment

I wanted to share an important update on the production and fulfillment of the To The Journey physical discs.

When we last communicated, we expected physical fulfillment to begin by the end of June. We've since received an updated production schedule from our manufacturing partner, and the completed discs are now expected to leave the manufacturer in mid-July.

The good news is that the discs are currently in production, and we're focused on preparing for fulfillment. Over the past several weeks, we've worked closely with the BackerKit team to review and update shipping addresses. I'd especially like to thank everyone who responded so promptly to our recent address confirmation emails. Your quick responses have significantly improved the accuracy of our shipping lists.

We'll use this time to finalize and verify shipping information so that we're ready to begin fulfillment as quickly and accurately as possible once the discs reach our U.S. and U.K. fulfillment partners. As soon as the discs arrive and we have a more precise fulfillment timeline, we'll share another update.

Thank you, as always, for your patience and continued support. We're looking forward to getting these discs into your hands.

No information on region coding. I think if they're shipping to the UK and US then that implies no coding... but it's a big gamble.

It still upsets me that I couldn't buy the DS9 documentary on blu-ray due to region coding.

Unless they're making two separate versions, I doubt it will be region locked. But for anyone worried, best wait 'til someone gets theirs and can confirm.

The backer version had no region coding, I think the regular one was locked due to being released through Shout Factory. (Edit: Shout also produced the Backer disc, but presumably had to fulfill the original promise of an unlocked disc.) A crock that there has been no subsequent region-free release. But at least Shout released the doc for free on YouTube. (Not as good, but I'm sure more Niners have seen it than would have otherwise.) ...I'm rambling!!

Definitely. I have no faith in streamers. They can drop a title completely at their discretion and the consumer has little recourse. PRO being a prime example.

Yup, exactly. Plus, there are so many excellent disc releases coming out of Europe these days of movies I love, having that ability to view discs from around the world is essential.

I am buying some 4k discs, but not enough to warrant a multi region player. And I like that my ps5 is my player, it's just cleaner.

The better option would have been for the DS9 producers to not region lock it, because while I watched it at the cinema so have 'paid in', I just ended up using other sources for a home copy.

The UHD format is currently all-region. Blu-rays and DVDs can be locked to specific regions.

Well yeah that's the only reason to region code really. They said they were planning to do a UK release but it never materialised. If they do then I'll buy it on a heartbeat. But i won't hold out hope as so much time has passed.

Voyager Physical Disc Update (July 20, 2026)

We've seen a lot of questions about the physical discs, so we wanted to share another update.

Shipments for fulfillment have begun arriving at our fulfillment partners, and work continues behind the scenes to prepare orders for shipment. We're working closely with our fulfillment partners to move everything forward as efficiently as possible while making sure orders are prepared correctly.

We know many of you are eager to know when your package will ship. Rather than guess, we'd prefer to share another update once we have more definitive timing to report.

If you haven't reserved your copy yet, the Blu-ray/DVD Combo Pack and Bonus Disc are still available. As physical releases become less common, we're proud to offer this collector's edition created specifically for Voyager fans to own and enjoy for years to come.
