The next book is great, it might be my favorite of them all, but if you're looking for a plot focus you won't be seeing that until about halfway through.

I started reading this for the first time earlier this week, and while I already know about the Year of Hell Janeway, I forgot that every other Janeway besides the Prime Janeway was supposed to be dead. I'm very curious how Year of Hell Janeway survived both that, and her Voyager's destruction at the end of the Year of Hell.

You'll enjoy the layers of revelation!

Have you recently rewatched "Year of Hell", "Before and After", or "Shattered"?

Just Year of Hell, I didn't know about any connections with the other two. I'll have to rewatch them. Actually, I'll probably skip Shattered since I just finshed a full series rewatch a few months ago. I'll probably watch Before and After though, it's been a while since I rewatched the earlier season.

Just finished reading this a couple minutes ago, and had to say how much I loved it. Definitely another outstanding book from @Kirsten Beyer.
I guess I either remembered wrong or misunderstood what I had read about the origin of the alternate Janeway. I swear I read somewhere she was the Janeway from Year of Hell, but she wasn't. She definitely had a hell of a story here, and I was glad she actually got a happy ending. Loved the Q cameo at the end.

I really liked the stuff with the Zahl and Rilnar, and the big introduction of Krenim was cool twist.
While I've liked what we've gotten with Tuvok in Titan, I missed him being part of the Voyager cast, so I loved how big of role he played in this. Connecting the death of his son to what was going on with the denzit was a nice touch.
Nancy's story really took a sad turn here, I hope she gets a happy ending. I'm glad it looks like her and Harry might be working things out at the end, I really like them as a couple, and was disappointed when it looked like the relationship was ending.
