Yes, and this is exactly what all of this is about. So, since we have settled most of the unclarity by now, on to the new round of avatar fun!

By the way, orac and ria, I'm glad both of you seemed to be able to reach clarification over past incidents. At least I hope so. I also want to take this opportunity and publicly thank orac for all the work he put into running this contest. Without his help there maybe even wouldn't be a contest anymore. Running these contests is a lot more work than most people realize. And I say this, I'm very glad to have orac by my side.

I thought that was technically impossible if you set the poll for 2 votes.

Oh, I missed this earlier. No, unfortunately that's no longer possible with the new board software. You can either choose 'One vote per user' or 'Allow for multiple votes', in which case you are able to check all of the boxes.

Ria I am truly sorry if my altering the rules in some contests has caused offence. My brief posts may come across as cold and authoritative but this is usually due to limited time available to post (and a similar lack of diplomatic skills on my own part). If I had taken more time to post the SF/F avatar contest I would have attempted to make it conform more closely to previous contests, I will endeavour to do so in future should I find myself in the position of posting another contest...

I was afraid I might get a response like this from someone after rereading some of my posts, so if I've offended anyone else besides Ria please accept this apology...

Not such a big one. Depends on the songs. My selection is rather eclectic. It's just that the other day, I woke up with that song in my head, although I hadn't heard it in ages. Now I don't tire of it.

In case you wondered, I just ask because I'm probably the biggest fan of The Cure on this board (at least I like to think that I am ). And I thought I had just found another one. But it's very cool that you enjoy that song (among others).

I'm actually rediscovering The Cure since first hearing it in my high school years. (A looong time ago.) It hasn't had the time to grow on me much yet, but it could happen.
