VnV Nation - Any Love?

So.. Anyone who knows me, knows I'm mostly into prog-type bands like Rush, Marillion, etc, etc....

But a friend of mine turned me onto a band called VnV Nation (Victory not Vengeance).. From what I gather, they have a small, but rabid following in the States, but are HUGE in Europe and the Uk.. Website

Originally from the UK, they reside in Germany..

Very much electronica, with a lot of dark, brooding sounds, but ultimately with a good message.

Any other fans, new or old out there?

I'm not exactly a fan, but in 1998/9 I found a real CD (official release, bought somewhere) of them on the road, like someone had it thrown out of the car.

I listened to it and quite liked it, but forgot about some months afterwards.

I didn't know they would still exist though.

Yep... New CD a couple of months ago and a tour.. Saw them in ABQ at a little bar that was packed to the gills.. Quite a good show with tons of energy..

The friend who turned me on to them loaned me a concert DVD from some place in Europe. Was quite amazing to compare the shows.. While in the states they play small venues, in Europe they pack pavillions...

I'm a fan, have just about everything they've done, but it is really a mood thing for me. 98% of the time I'm going to grab something else to listen to. I also find that a lot of their stuff works best when someone else mixes it later.

Cool.. I find that driving long distances is made a lot better with them on rotation in the ol' CD player. :)
