Venus mysteries solved?

Saw an article on Yahoo this morning about some new ideas regarding Venus, and why it has the unique properties it does.

Well, they are not really new ideas, I remember to have read about them in college, maybe five years ago. However, it's nice to have new details put in place, especially about the impact simulations.

I wonder what temperatures are like atop the highest mountain of Venus Maxwell Montes (11,000 meters, as opposed to 8,848 meters for Everest).

Re: Venus mysteries solved?

No, its a 'theory'.

We have no samples, no evidence, no concrete facts yet.
Gonna be awhile before we bring back enough samples to even begin to set the story straight....

Well, if you want to get technical about it, it's a hypothesis.
