I watched this on Starz recently.

Much more fun than I expected. Quite enjoyable.
 
Yeah, I was really bored by it until Venom showed up as an actual character interacting with Brock, then it became a pretty good action sci-fi buddy comedy.
 
My opinion on it partially echoes the last few posts. Not the part about enjoying it, just the part about how idiotically stupid the film is.
Also, I haven't been this bored by a "final battle" scene since Transformers 2.
 
Ah, the first sequel. A crucial juncture in a film franchise. This is what happens when a movie is successful at the box office as "Venom." Hopefully the sequel will be more like "The Dark Knight" rather than "Transformers 2."

I'm hoping it's more like X-Men Origins: Wolverine and The Wolverine. ;)

I thought that too, and that was being born out until Venom actually shows up. Then it becomes a moderately entertaining buddy cop movie.
 
I just watched that movie. And I found it to be fun and witty. The way the Vemon talks to the guy he is in. I liked that. It had a lot of action. Anyway, I liked for what that is worth.
