Spoilers Variety about the future of Star Trek

Seven was a Fenris Ranger for twenty years.

She left for a reason (Maybe she was tired of the grind and wanted to settle down?)

In S3 didn’t she say Janeway and Picard pushed her to join and used their combined influence to get Starfleet to finally accept her?

I don't understand ...
There are currently 902 episodes of Star Trek, with the captain being put in peril or in highly stressful situations each time. That's to nothing of the 13 films, which has seed to the deaths of a few captains. (One died twice in the same film)

That is incredibly myopic and refutes the message that Deep Space Nine hammered home where it's possible to find happiness and fulfillment in life outside of the service.

And here I thought they built Nog's whole arc around the struggles to attain fulfillment in the service.

Then they killed off Jadzia. And brought back her replacement. In Starfleet.

Got Kira in that Starfleet uniform from her previous service uniform.

Rom spent most of the series proving to everyone he deserved to be in a uniform and not a bar worker.

Is your whole hammer based only on Jake? :guffaw:

What about Quark? Or Garak?

Four Paramount Global Board Members to Exit Amid Skydance M&A Talks

Four members of Paramount Global‘s current 11 board of directors will step down as the company has stepped up M&A talks with Skydance Media.

The four directors — Dawn Ostroff, former chief content and advertising business officer of Spotify; Nicole Seligman, former president of Sony Entertainment; Frederick Terrell, vice chairman of investment banking at Wells Fargo; and Rob Klieger, partner at Hueston Hennigan LLP, who had served as legal counsel to Sumner Redstone — will not stand for reelection at Paramount Global’s annual meeting, set for June 4. The company did not provide an explanation for or an exact timeline of their departures, which was disclosed in a proxy statement Thursday with the SEC.

The 1980's-era policy of "smash it to pieces and then sell the scraps for top dollar" is over.

Aside from Apollo's sketchy financing, how much experience do they have running a movie studio?

Now that neither MTV nor VH1 are airing music videos, Paramount may decide to merge their operations as a cost-saving measure.

MTV is now more known for its reality shows like Laguna Beach and The Real World. VH1 is now known for its documentaries like Behind the Music and its reality shows Rock of Love, Flavor of Love, and The Surreal Life.

With the upcoming final ever season of Lower Decks, only strange new worlds
Very interesting article.

It confirms Starfleet Academy is 32nd century, Yeoh is open for a follow-up movie to Section 31, a Picard movie is being considered, Enterprise-C captain is in Section 31 movie, two big Star Trek films in development, including origin story to the whole Star Trek universe (prime) and Frakes directed a Hollywood style murder mystery episode for season 3 of Strange New Worlds...

It also included a new photo from Section 31 and a new photo of a new Strange New Worlds set.

With Lower Decks now off for good, a Enterprise-C tv show may be in the works. Captain Garrett's voyages could be both intriguing and entertaining. Here's to hope which springs eternal.:techman:

Another sequel or prequel TV show about the Romulan War, Enterprise C & or B's Voyages etc. are of course definite possibilities though.

Nope. They do not apply the same "fill in the canon" mentality as fans when it comes to formulating new shows.

Anyway, given the current circumstances, I don't see any reason to assume there is more in the pipeline.
