Vanguard in MU?

Im reading Sorrows of the Empire and it just shifted to Dr Marcus.
I plan on reading Vanguard, will reading about it's mirror universe version give me spoilers about the actual storylin

Not trying to be redundant but as I go through the MU anthology Shards and Shadows I see there is a Vanguard story, as was my concern in Sorrows will I get spoilers of the mainstream Vanguard series?
I guess as I haven't read the Voyager relaunch books I should ask about their installments here and in Obsidian Alliance in regards to my Vanguard concern....

I doubt you have to worry about that. The characters and settings are basically the same (though altered), but the events are very different. Unless you consider it a spoiler to know who the characters in a series are and where it takes place, then I don't think spoilers would be an issue.

Without having read one single Vanguard novel I've read all the MU short stories, including the MU Vanguard one. It can easily be done, though I must confess that it would have been better to know Vanguard before reading the MU story. On the other hand the MU Vanguard story is short - very short.

You have no need for concern. It won't spoil anything of major importance in the main Vanguard story.

You know I have the Vanguard books on my Nook. Im thinking I might just go ahead and read them and then finish my DS9/MU catchup LOL

I think the DS9 stories and Rise Like Lions are the only stories in the MU series that tie into the Prime Universe, so pretty much all of the other stories are spoiler free when it comes to the rest of the books.
