Miranda Class, Lantree Type

Charybdis Class Destroyer
A kitbash of parts that I ultimately had to reject lately.. but it was a fun diversion.

Vance they sure look great. :) Keep up the great work and keep them coming. ;)

Have you considered doing the TMP Constellation Class or the TMP Constitution II Class??

The Great Lady will be done soon. The Constellation may have to wait, though, since I want to get some of Mandel's Klingon ships done next week first.

I THINK the Knox was Aridas' design (?). Or am I thinking that only because it's so Surya-like?

Well, it's hard for me to be too sympathetic with anyone over the Knox. FASA has a near identical design to it, and it really just is a snubbed-tail Miranda in the first place. I'm willing to give credit, naturally, but it's a tough one to see anyone get in a wad about.

Oh, Forbin, PM me with your snail address? I've got a beat-up PL Enterprise box of some spare parts you might want, that I need to get cleared out.

Shall I post a photo of the eleven boxes of spare parts I have now? :)
But all donations are gratefully accepted.

SVC’s Ares class Battleship

A bit too ‘twinky’ for me, particularly for the era. Four over-sized nacelles and phasers and high-torps all over the place. To their credit, in SFB they never actually BUILT this thing.

Re: SVC’s Ares class Battleship

^^^Alright, what am I missing here. What is the reference to "ze goggles?"

I must lead a very sheltered life.

Re: SVC’s Ares class Battleship

It's a Simpson's reference. A famous 'action hero' was making a movie when a vat of chemicals started to drown him. He was wearing safety-goggles...

... and they did nothing!

Re: SVC’s Ares class Battleship

No wonder they never built the ARES. It's b-friggen huge and there's still no way to get to the engineering hull. Doh!

Re: SVC’s Ares class Battleship

The thick pylon's there.. they can get there... through the hangar deck, I suppose. :)

There is a problem with the forward-mounted shuttlebays, though. The Federation has the same issue, which reminds me to get that variant that flips it back around done at some point.

AH! Gotcha! I remember that episode. And now I know why I didn't get it the first time - it has absolutely nothing to do with this thread...or does it? :wtf:

Re: SVC’s Ares class Battleship

It's an internet reference now. "It's so terrible that the goggles won't protect my eyes!"

Re: SVC’s Ares class Battleship

Eric’s Abbe Class

Yeah, I had meant to get to Klingon ships this week, but getting swamped in other stuff forces me to do a few more TOS, TMP Feddies to get caught up with things. My apologies…
