Vance's Schematics III

Have a look here, there's some pretty goods shots of the bridge (defiantly Phase II) and various other bits.
Nope. I went to do a Phase II Bridge variant to see if it was closer, and the B-C deck assembly is completely different. It's definitely a custom build up with an unfinished TMP 'mickey mouse' arrangement. (The translucent dome mount is missing, as it is on the photographed Phase II model, but it reappears in other shots.) The B/C assembly looks like it was thrown in specifically in a way that the Miranda bridge could be retained underneath it.

The official schematics, of course, retain a Miranda-class bridge and B/C deck. Like I said earlier, I was shooting for happy mediums all around.

True the bridge substructure look a little higher than on the Ent, but it's still the same Bridge.

In fact I would say that it being a clear deck higher than the Miranda is especially something you want of the schematics. If anything it helps strengthen the case that this is an older style ship than the Miranda and further helps to delineate the very similar classes.

Heh, well, since I'm not going to win this one, I redid the bridge module to match the studio model shots you put up. I also tweaked the 'spires' in places to be a little more accurate, which varies from the official schematics a bit more... ah well.

Okay...

Who the hell ate most of the frelling saucer hull and only left this little wedge here in the fridge?!

Jeez!! I HATE when people do that...

The Lynch is designed as a rapid deployment vessel, and the minimal saucer is to give it a lower sensor profile and also to make it cheaper to construct.

Sorry Vance I wasn't trying to hijack your thread, just wanted to share. I saw another up there from someone else thought it was cool. I've removed them.

I know this is going to sound a little petty, but.. when you guys make your own schematics, can you make your own threads for them? I can lose track otherwise. :)

 i was so excited about seeing the first version of Soyuz by you i didnt relize the bridge was different until yesterday.

Still i think you did a awsome job on Both of them :thumbsup:

Great work on the Maguellanes Vance. I always had a soft spot for her and her variant designs. Are you going to do any of her similar classes?
