There's a commercial every time I watch ABC. Usually two per show.
Im actually about to start watching the Original and Final Battle series on DVD...haven't seen it scince I was 10 when it originally aired...back in 83/84. be curious to hear what some of you liked and disliked about the original, or any memories you may have of it. I'm looking foward to seeing how its held up...
I'm interested in seeing it but I'm concerned about the decision to delay airing it till spring. Not a good sign.
Otherwise I'm getting a BSG vibe from this. It has potential to be a good show.
In response to the question above, the original miniseries is a classic of 1980s "late Cold War-era" SF, in my opinion. And the TV series I thought had plenty of potential, but they were handicapped by the fact it was 1984 and they couldn't do the types of stories they probably could have done had they made it, well, in 2009.

I read about that on NPR's web-site. That'll confuse/scare some people! Hope I get to see a giant red V in the skies where I live!!!
But I do agree, not enough promotion has gone on for this show, which makes me sad. I am afraid that it will flop before it is given a chance to prove itself. It seems like every TV season I get into a new show that ends up being cancelled. Sad. Hope everyone gives Elizabeth Mitchell a chance!
Didn't care for the original, but am giving this remake a chance.
I don't watch much on ABC but FastFoward is V, V and uh Jack in the Box and more V.
This sounds way too different for my tastes. At least the Visitors are still lizards this time around, aren't they? You canNOT have V without lizards. 
I was until I read they were changing it to make it more politically correct.

Which, of course, would also happen if the current administration was Republican.
why are some people referring to this as a mini-series? has it been downgraded from a real series like that other show on cbs that i can't remember?

I doubt it will have enough brains for such political metaphors, but hey, I'm up for an anti-Obama screed. Let's get Glenn Beck as a guest star! (For some reason, he seems like he'd fit into this show perfectly.)
