Eh, I liked it. It's been obvious for some time now that this show will never be very good, so at least it should be crazy/gory/creepy/cheeseball fun, and this episode had many steps in the right direction, from melting faces to mutant baby in a glass jar to lizard-tail-fu to nasty-ass alien skeleton in a secret lab. Brett Harrison looks like he'll be a good addition to the cast, I hope they don't kill him off too fast.
And there are still the howlers...the mob riots because the aliens frakked up the sky and then calms down just because Anna says so. WTF? Once a mob gets into a rioting mood, I'd think it would take more than that to make them settle down. And if I heard that right, Dr. Sidney discovered a mass grave of mainly human bones and didn't report it to the authorities!?!?
I like the look of the V's - not over-the-top lizardface naaasty but just nasty enough. Like a velociraptor cousin of ET.

Ratings report for V.
No drop-off from where they left off before the hiatus (in May - you don't see audience loyalty like that very often), didn't lose any audience during the hour, and better demo than ABC's other two shows for the night - could be worse.
I nominate Guy Gardner to take over the writing on this show.

You ever try watching non-sci-fi shows? Most of them are boring pieces of crap that don't have interesting characters, sharp writing, original ideas, tight storytelling and a pitch perfect pace, even the ones that do very well in the ratings.No---sci-fi shows struggle because most of them are boring pieces of crap that don't have interesting characters, sharp writing, original ideas, tight storytelling and a pitch perfect pace.
That may be why the show suddenly is veering into Farscape-ish grossout/nasty/funness?The big story about last night's show seems to have been missed by a lot of people. When the heck did Rockne s O'Bannon of Farscape become one of the show's producers?
