V-Ray?

Sibyl

Caffeine Pill Popper
Rear Admiral
For those of you with experience, is V-Ray worth the price of admission?

I use Max and I love Iray+, partially because of its quality, but mostly because it's a progressive renderer, so you get near instant results for render and material tests.

However, I'd love to have some compatibility for commercial purposes and V-Ray seems to be where it's at.

Thoughts?

Vray is a very good renderer, but if you have a good GPU, I'd recommend Redshift. It's basically just like Vray but renders very fast because of GPU acceleration.

I use Blender and Vray Standalone and I love it. I haven't tried other commercial renderers, but I used Vray for a long time and I am very happy with results.
