USS Voyager Set Recreations

Finally finished the Mess Hall!
With the resolution of Voyager being what it is, it can be difficult to tell what some of the props are even supposed to be. So I spent a lot of time researching and reverse-image searching to make sure I got the details right, down to the exact brand of potato ricer. Fun fact, Neelix's stovetop burners are actually J85 turbojet engine combustion liners on two large molcajetes.

I'm thinking of doing Engineering next.

Absolutely fantastic work on these! Add a low quality photo filter and some could be photos from the set! :p

If I may, something on which I think you could spend some more time to make perfect, is the chairs/sofas. Material-wise they look perfect, but the lack of any imperfections make them stand out as CG. Try out some of Blender's new cloth sculpting brushes and have some fun with them, once you get the hang of how they work they can give you great results in like 5 minutes, they're almost like cheating.

I recently discovered there's a room in my friends house with the exact carpet that was used in Voyager's sickbay, crew quarters, and astrometrics lab.

A different color variant of this carpet was used in the other rooms and the corridors, but due to Voyager's low resolution, inconsistent lighting, and color grading, the exact colors are hard to pin down.

Does anyone know anything about this carpet? Anyone know what happened to Richard James's fabric sample book after it sold at auction in 2008? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Some screencaps from the show:

That's a great find with the carpet.
I don't have any further info on the carpets, but I have few other things that might be of use to your project.

I've recently reverse engineered the Cactus Mat 2520 VIP Deluxe mat from camera matched photos. The heavy duty rubber mat used in Voyager's Jefferies Tubes, Cargo Bay (though sometimes replaced with carpet) and Type 8 shuttle

Also the black flat ribbed material used on many of Voyager's consoles and walls was the AdvanEdge drain pipe.
I've put all my research into a zip file: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1ELkfsFJ2ssui74-ndysyvAkvJKYJl1d1/view?usp=sharing

Hope this helps

@Redgeneral That will be incredibly helpful, thank you! And big thanks to you for all of the work you've put into preserving and organizing Star Trek production history. It makes people like me very happy.
