Yeah, but if you do it via the service, it's a temporary download that allows you to watch it once; or becomes unwatchable if you don't view what you downloaded in a certain timeframe (usually 2 days to two weeks).
What it does allow you to do is watch it on your preferred device without bandwidth pauses - or allows you to download a higher resolution version and watch it reliably and uninterrupted than your ISP situation would allow if you always had to stream it everytime you attempted to watch it.
