Unusual fanfic pairings

As for me, I've always considered the pair on the picture below as the most perfect "ship" and when I get the time for more writing, then I will develope it further as a side plot in a story I have in my head.

I thought of this myself back in the day. If Samantha's husband had died or moved on. And if Neelix wouldn't be jealous like he was with Kes.

Easy enough to do that. Matter of fact, it might be fun to start a project like one I managed about 15 years ago. Rule was, you created an 11 year old character had had them turn up at Hogwarts, and wrote stories of their adventures, often collaborating with each other and/or involving themselves in canonical events. Each author could create an academy grad (21 years old or alien equivalent) and put their newbie on the starship we use as our setting. Then we see what happens.
