Untold Treks

^How?????

I would have liked them to actually come out and say that Picard was Wesley's dad.

That would totally ruin the Beverly Crusher character.

Not only would it make the audience feel less compassionate about the Beverly Crusher character, it would damage Picard as well.

Jack Crusher was Picard's best friend and Beverly's husband. How low are these characters to be having an affair behind his back?

I think it would have been too sordid. Does every tv show have to turn into a soap opera? Plus I like that they were close without having to be father and son.

There was a story proposed that the Enterprise D went back to Sigma Iota to find, instead of a gangster planet..a 23rd century Starfleet planet running a starbase waiting for the Federation to use it...

I was being sarcastic, because there have been compliants about how underdeveloped and underused Beverly had been in the TNG movies.

Deep Space Nine actually. It was a thirtieth anniversary story that wasn't used. They went with Trials and Tribble-ations instead.

There was a comic about that, I think...I remember the cover had Data, Beverly & Troi in Dixon Hill-style costumes & the text promised it wasn't a holodeck adventure.

I flipped through it a bit, and the Iotians were runnin' 'round in TOS era gear, but still usin' gang affiliations - reds, blues & yellows...

That would've been far more interesting and slightly more complicated than the "will they or won't they" BS in the seven-year run.

What happened AFTER Journey to Babel? Was Coridan admitted to the Federation? Did the Orions and Telarites simply lie down and give up, or did they try to continue their black market in dilithium? Was Orion punished in any way for their attack?

(I'm actually working on a fanfic along those lines).

^ TNG's Sarek had Riker say that Coridian was admitted following the events of Journey to Babel.

Indeedy. But I'm imagining a rocky road after that, full of pissed off Orion pirates, waffling politicians, and one maverick starship captain who still doesn't appreciate being stabbed. :)

The torrid, secret affair between Geordi and Wesley.

Well there always was the joke about Wesley's pants unzipping in the back.

:guffaw:

As far as untold stories, I always wanted to see more of the ship.

Also B5 did an episode from the POV of the maintenance workers. It would have been interesting to see the POV from the civilians aboard the Enterprise. How did they cope during crises? During battles, did they stay in their quarters, or go to emergency shelters? That sort of thing.

A future trip with Data would have been great. And you have him reviewing logs regarding his time aboard the NCC-1701D, reminiscing about the crew he knew... perhaps some cuts to the future on what happened to them.

In "All Good Things", we know that Picard retired back to his family vineyard in France. It would've been interesting to see more about that time, and some of the friendships he maintained from his time aboard the Enterprise. It would've been great to see him and Beverly still friends with just a touch of sexual tension.

"

Data and Geordi go on vacation and find trouble.

I always to see more of an exploration of Geordi and Data's friendship.

Yeah, same here. I wonder if the two may have also had a more "intimate" relationship because Geordi could understand Data on a more technological level, and literally had his hands inside Data often enough. Similarly, I wonder if Data and the Enterprise understood each other on different levels. No, again, I don't mean sexually, but more akin to being expatriates meeting abroad - there's a shared knowledge and understanding that others don't have.

Decanonize Nemesis?

He might have been in command of a ship or a station. He mentioned being part of a group of officers responding to an attack on a planet, where Picard saw Tasha...

^

Doesn't 'The Battle' establish that the Enterprise-D was Picard's second command, followin' the Stargazer? The conversation with Scotty in 'Relics' reinforces the idea that while the E-D is better in every way, he still misses the Stargazer from time to time. No ships in between.
