United Earth in the Star Trek universe

I do not refer to 'discrimation' I refer to how black people are percieved as romantic, life time or marriage partners by other races. The 'Guess who is coming to dinner' saga still exists. Some white people might be more accepting (to a point), however in caste based societies where the fairer you are the closer to the 'gods' you are, bringing home a black man or black woman is a mega no no. Ask anyone who is from Asia, who is a more acceptable partner, a white person or a black person to their families, IF they choose not to marry/be with one of their own ethnic group? Even in the black community back in the day, had issues with this.
However the Star Trek universe gives the impression such things will no longer be an issue for humanity. Would be a bit crazy to have issues with brown humans when blue and green people exist in the universe.

'They are blue on the right side. All their people are blue on the right side and green on the left, and that just ain't right.'

Paraphrasing a bit, and throwing in a thing, but that was how it was in the day. It has gotten better, and since the 90s things have settled a bit, but stigma takes a long time to heal and generally takes the death of the pervious generation to finally end the stigma. Most of the Greatest Generation are gone now. The Baby Boomers are entering their 70s this year. They were the ones that had to fight these fights. The rest of use are living with the aftermath and hopefully a better world.

I think things might settle down after the Baby Boomers have passed away. It was mainly Generation X that went to diverse schools and diverse work places. But the world is nationalistic and tribal these days. Might take the Millenials' grandchildren to sort things out.

Well in the ST universe on planet Earth there are no superpowers and leaders of the free world....Hurrah!

I have to laugh because I'm a boomer and always went to integrated schools with all kinds of people.

And who was the large group of people in the civil rights and feminist movements in the 60s and 70s? Yep, baby boomers yet again.

Baby Boomers 1946 - 1964. I refer to the ones born in the 40's, the civil right and feminists were adults in the 60's and so were the pro Jim Crow lot. The pro Jim Crowers are still around and they bred.
