To that I can only ask this: Did you read any of my 5 previous posts to this thread before asking the question?I like the Enterprise-E... its design came after the Borg encounter, when StarFleet changed from diplomacy/exploration to more combat-readiness. Let's face it... the D is artistic (read: diplomatic) while the E is almost stealth-like (read: battle-ready).
Opinions are like belly buttons... some are in... some are out... but everybody's got one!![]()
You make a decent argument for the E-E's design. I can see how a squat ship may offer a smaller sensor profile, or something of the futuristic equivalent. Maybe even the silly black colour patterns have a reason.
But do you like it from a practical point of view, or because of any aesthetic qualities?
The poster was seeking everyone's opinion, was he not?
Xzibit: We're going to take out these side panels on the secondary hull and fit custom fibre-glass mouldings. We'll strip out the main cargo bay and install two megawatt amplifiers, wired up to two huge megawatt subwoofers - one below the captain's chair on the bridge, and one below Commander Riker's bed. Then we'll put these 20ft video screens at the ends of the nacelles...
^Those are foul!
To me the Daedalus Class is absolutely the foulest thing ever built by Starfleet.
