Spoilers Two big characters return for anniversary.

The last words of Jodie's (remember her?) final episode are totally going to be, "What? What! WHAT" aren't they?

‘Oh no, regeneration… I wonder what hand that writes fate behind the scenes is going to make me this time? It’s already happening, already happened, happening again… hope the new new me gets a good run, a better hand, feel like I’ve barely started… stop, start, stuck in a loop! That’s me. Loopy. Time to go. Sorry Yaz. Tell Graham I’m sorry yeah?’
*whoosh shreksplosion*
‘What? What? Barcelona… new teeth. No. New old teeth. Hullo, I’m the Doctor? Who are you again?’

10 to 12
(Ooh sounds like a good title for an episode)

Ten- You know *Puts on a Scottish accent* Your accent has kinda of rubbed onto me. I kind of like it!

Twelve- ....Needs work
Titan Comics has done a number of multi-Doctor events, and 10 and 12 have an interesting relationship across them.

When they first meet ("Four Doctors," which actually has five, arguably six), their relationship is quite antagonistic. Ten calls Twelve an "abomination," recognizing that Twelve can't and shouldn't exist. But time is breaking apart, so Ten puts aside his issues with Twelve. (Eleven is very much a moderating influence.) Twelve is a little hostile to Ten's post-Donna companion Gabby, which is ironic...

The next time they meet ("The Lost Dimension"), Ten doesn't remember the events of "Four Doctors," and they get along great. Ten simply assumes Twelve is the next and final incarnation. Nine, Ten, and Twelve have to go on a mission to rescue Eleven, who got caught up in some Cartmel Masterplan shenanigans.

We also see Twelve passing some information on to Ten that Ten needs. (Titan's Twelve likes getting involved with his past selves. He also shows up in the Eighth Doctor's mini-series.) I don't remember if this was before or after "The Lost Dimension," and in any event there's no indication when this occurs in Twelve's timeline.

And then Gabby, travelling with Ten, casts herself into the Vortex where she's saved by The Moment and rescued by Twelve sometime between Clara and "The Pilot." Gabby hugs the unhuggable Twelve, and I was not expecting a Doctor Who comic to ever make me emotional, but this did when it was published. Maybe Twelve was hostile to Gabby in "Four Doctors" because he remembered her sacrifice -- that's another companion lost in a short period of time, and I'm not sure where Gabby falls into relation to Matthew and Emily -- and (thought he) knew her fate and was reacting from that. Then while he barely interacts with her in "The Lost Dimension," he at this point knows what happens to Gabby (he rescues her and they have adventures) so he doesn't need to put up defenses.

I would love to see Titan finish Gabby's story. I want to know what happens to Cindy and Noob. I want to see what happens to Alice. Won't happen, but I can dream.

The man on the left in these pictures is only four years younger than the man on the right.

Depressingly I'm 13 months younger than Tennant and look more like Hartnell.

If Tennant is playing the "14th" Doctor I think it would be cool if, instead of acting/speaking like 10, he uses his actual accent and goes full Scottish. So its a Doctor with an old face, but change the other stuff enough to justify it being its own incarnation. Maybe a friendlier version of Capaldi's Doctor, its not something that needs to happen but I think it would be fun. Plus, I'm sure Big Finish would love being able to have two different Doctors with one actor, plus spin offs like comics/books/etc being able to do stuff with a Doctor that has Tennant's face but a significantly different personality.

To be clear I'm excited for his return regardless, but a fully Scottish Tennant as The Doctor is something I think would be very entertaining.

It goes without saying that I'm over the goddamn moon to see Eleven and Donna return. And Wilfred, amazing!

But I want to see Capaldi again, and Bill. Those two were just magic together.

If that supposed leak is genuine, then there is a classic companion returning that the leaker chose to keep secret. My money is on either deepfake Sarah Jane or Susan.

That last one is getting me emotional even without context.

Those spoilers from Reddit do seem to have been spot on. The dynamic duo head off to find out why the Doctor has un-regenerated (and possibly why Donna's head hasn't gone boom).

Next stop: Pete's World to check on the other Doctor?

Doctor Who Confidential might be coming back? There was some behind-the-scenes stuff being shot today and Russell dropped by the set to be interviewed.

Everyone's going to pop their lid when the 60th anniversary special starts off like this

Given they're all the same person you'd wonder why the Doctor would need to degenerate into Ten in order to put things right. Why couldn't Smith, Capaldi or Whittaker have put things right?
Total speculation here. But perhaps there's a reason for it being Tennant specifically and it has to do with Donna and how the Doctor left her. It probably involves her daughter as well and perhaps some linger trauma. Perhaps he has to make amends for how he left Donna? Set that right? And it works better if it's his regeneration for Donna and her daughter's sake (and the audience)?

Just out of curiosity. Is this really for the 60th? They are filming pretty far ahead.

David Tennant is a very busy man. He's got the second series of ATWI80D coming up and a Jekyll & Hyde series that he's doing with Georgia, so if he is doing three episodes, they have to go by his availability.

The shooting schedule that came out of a Bad Wolf job advertisement had three months of shooting, then a couple of months off then nine months of shooting.

Which I guess means three months for these specials, nine months for the actual season?

So while they've been quite happy to let people watch what they've been shooting the past two days they are now asking people to leave so they can't see what they're shooting tonight. Or who...
