Spoilers TV movies every 2 years!

Reveal of Future Guy should be a series by Matalas. He knows how to stretch a reveal for all it's worth.

I think Matalas could get to do his Legacy ideas in movie format. A movie with the VOY cast could work.
I am not sure why they think 2 years is the appropriate time frame. I guess they really want to make sure they have the best product. It also hints that the production values will be high.
So Future Guy will be the most obvious thing ever and telegraphed from the start?

Look, guys, friends, people,

The Star Trek franchise is on the brink of irrelevance. They can release 10 shows at the same time, yet still fail to deliver something meaningful. So many users around here live within a bubbled reality, where Kurtzman Trek is considered to be successful, innovative or even bold for that matter. These users are completely disregarding the one and only truth about the current state of the franchise: it’s inevitable, impending doom..

The S31 show was officially announced several years ago. Almost nothing which was supposed to be brought to the table will actually get delivered. This one off tv movie is a farcry from the plans they had about Yeohs character and a concession towards artistic and monetary defeat.

All we can do is to hope that patience finally runs out with CBS execs. We will then be able to witness the beginning of something new, something beautiful, something without Kurtzman…
How can one man...be so wrong... about so much... so often?

Boggles the mind.

it’s inevitable, impending doom..
How? Will Trek media cease to exist?

First Contact day was just a few days ago and yet Kurtzman didn’t have the decency to announce this mini movie on this predestined date. He had to do it literally 2 days before the final episode of Picard S3, just to steal Matalas spotlight.
No [Shaw]

RMB tweeted that yesterday's announcement shows how vindictive, infantile, and ungrateful Kurtzman is since it's before the Picard finale. (HUH??)Do they just want to be angry all the time and attack Kurtzman for anything?
Yes.

As always, YMMV. I think there's a split between fans about which Disco era is better. For me, Disco peaked with S2 and it had an awesome two-part season finale.

The end of S2 is my LEAST favorite part of DISCO.

1. S2 first half.
2. S1 first half.
3. Season 4
4. S1 Mirror/Finale
5. Season 3
6. S2 2nd half

Again, just shows that mileage does vary.

Almost definitely due to financial considerations. They're cutting back on production like all streamers. We're already past "peak Trek," at least in terms of the current streaming era.

He must have shit his pants today when they released the new SNW trailer.

A live-action Lower Decks movie would be cool.

If we were to get something Seven of Nine and Raffi centric, I'd rather see them with the Fenris Rangers than on the Titan.

Something involving Jack, Wesley and Beverly would be cool. Perhaps something that picks up on Wesley's new status quo as established in season 2.

Kestra Troi-Riker and Captain Rupert Crandall having a madcap adventure aboard his freighter the Inside Straight could be fun. Maybe tell the story of where Kestra was during season 3.

Something with Julian Bashir and Miles O'Brien involving darts, ale and the Battle of Britain.

The Adventures of Morn would probably require a trilogy or more, best not get our hopes up on that one.

The Secret of Project Phoenix, hinted at at Daystrom Station in season 3, starring William Shatner, Chris Pine and Paul Wesley.

The continuing adventures of Ensign Harry Kim, now under the command of Captain Miral Paris.

Am I the only one that wants to see Data meet Soji? Probably.

Let's keep in mind that this is a News thread, not a Spoiler thread. Open discussion of Picard Season 3 is off limits.

Ok, just throwing out what I'd like to see
Enterprise: The Romulan War
Definitely on my list

Captain Shaw Titan
We just got ten episodes with Shaw on the Titan but I know what you mean. Probably an adventure within the five years he served as captain

John Cho Sulu Excelsior
Definitely would be interesting. But It would be hard for me not to go "Is this Kelvin or prime?"

Enterprise - B Tomed Incident
That could be interesting as this could be our look at what happens to the Enterprise-B.

Captain Robert April Enterprise
With Adrian Holmes as April hell yes.

Shatner Kirk Returns
Unless they deage him I don't see Shatner kirk returning.

Best. News. Evar. lol

This blows the doors off story restrictions based on a story not being big enough for a whole series. The entire timeline is wide open for any one and done story they want to tell.

:censored: fantastic!
