Gore should have won, the Supreme Court had no business deciding anything.

But it's a fundamentally flawed system we have, so it is what it is.

Then, the Florida Supreme Court shouldn't have been deciding anything either. The Supreme Court's problem was punting the decision the first time, rather than upholding Florida's decision to force a recount, or vacating it in favor of then existing Florida law which left the decision in the hands of a political hack.

^ Agreed. A new vote would have been the best option.

The flawed system I was referring to is the Electoral College. The idea someone with a massive popular vote percentage losing at all is ridiculous.
