Of course Tuvok exists in the 24th century. We have seen him there, haven't we?

Memory Alpha sais Tuvok was born in 2264, and that the new movie takes place in 2258, so he wasn't yet born. The odds of his parents being among the 10000 survivors are 10000/6000000000= one out of 60000. So it appeasrs he's gone in the new timeline :-(.

Anyway, I'm planning to see the movie and my intention was to do that with an open mind and trying to be objective, despite my initial doubts about a "recycled" TOS.

However, this screwing-up of established Trek history by this silly plot about Vulcan being destroyed already gives me a bad feeling about the whole thing. This screwing-up of established Trek history was one of the reasons which made me stop watching "Enterprise" after 4 episodes once upon a time.

Note that I'm not criticizing the poster who brought this up in this thread. That don't bother me at all. I would have found out anyway or seen it on the screen and my reaction would have been the same which is "Oh no! Not again!"
