Turn The Channel On This TOS Episode…

For me it's that we get these endless scenes of the kids pumping their fists and doing harm to our heroes with no one doing anything about it, so it's the frustration. Like I'm sure there are times when Kirk or someone could have run up to the kids and beat the crap out of them to stop them, but no one wants to see an adult beat up a kid on tv, so the kids were allowed to just stand there fist-pumping away.
I made up several vulgar euphemisms for that fist pumping that I shouldn't type in this comment.

I’d watch any episode of TOS.

For the other shows, there’s even episodes I start on Netflix by choice and quit within 10 minutes occasionally.

TOS is something else. It’s detached from everything else by time, culture and technology (in the real world I mean).

There’s a lot of good that came from the 1960s. TOS is in the top layer of that good, along with Bob Dylan, The Twilight Zone, Connery’s Bond and The Fantastic Four.

It’s a classy show. Earnest and genuine. Heartfelt even. They weren’t just making TV. They were trying to change our idea of what TV could be.

Even in the worst episodes, I can find something to love.
