Thanks. In any case, T4 is a rather different timeline than TSCC. Crossover would be nice, but it is, for example, possible that the producers of TSCC have an ending in mind (provided they get enough episodes to ever get there, of course) that would end in peace between Skynet and the Connors, and no judgement day. If they would have to start to tie their chronology into the one from the new movies, as someone suggested, then such a plan, should it exist, would have to be abandoned.and don't those movies follow T3's timeline, which TSCC also ignores?
Terminator 4 is being treated differently. Aspects of the storyline are going to be followed, but the writers were specifically told that what came before was merely backstory and they don't have to strictly adhere to it. The only things from T3 that are confirmed to be continued are Judgment Day happened and Kate Brewster and John Connor are married.
Mind you, it's entirely possible that the show's creators haven't worked out how they would want to end the show yet, but it's better if their hands aren't tied beforehand (and perhaps they do have a specific ending in mind, even now).
And moreover, the movies will tell their own story, it doesn't need to be told in TSCC as well. Let it be its own show, building on T2, and by all means use each others props or characters when appropriate, but don't abandon the series' own plot.
