TSCC gets a full 2nd season.

and don't those movies follow T3's timeline, which TSCC also ignores?

Terminator 4 is being treated differently. Aspects of the storyline are going to be followed, but the writers were specifically told that what came before was merely backstory and they don't have to strictly adhere to it. The only things from T3 that are confirmed to be continued are Judgment Day happened and Kate Brewster and John Connor are married.
Thanks. In any case, T4 is a rather different timeline than TSCC. Crossover would be nice, but it is, for example, possible that the producers of TSCC have an ending in mind (provided they get enough episodes to ever get there, of course) that would end in peace between Skynet and the Connors, and no judgement day. If they would have to start to tie their chronology into the one from the new movies, as someone suggested, then such a plan, should it exist, would have to be abandoned.

Mind you, it's entirely possible that the show's creators haven't worked out how they would want to end the show yet, but it's better if their hands aren't tied beforehand (and perhaps they do have a specific ending in mind, even now).

And moreover, the movies will tell their own story, it doesn't need to be told in TSCC as well. Let it be its own show, building on T2, and by all means use each others props or characters when appropriate, but don't abandon the series' own plot.

Okay, here's the 20 dollar question... What will represent Skynet?

A humniform Android?
A server farm?
A disembodied voice?
An Avatar either seen on screen or projected holographically?

I wonder if it would be half as cool as when Jesus met Pilot in Jesus Christ Superstar... "Prove me a fool and walk across my swimming pool!"

Neo meeting the King AI in the third Matrix movie was just shit.

The Animatrix kicked it's ass.

I know that the whole "canon" and "timelines" aspect can give people headaches, but I am very pleased at this news. I just caught up last week on all the eps up to S2 ep 5 and the show has been consistently entertaining and kept my interest. Kudos to Fox for making a good decision!

And then inbetween scenes switch her out with Susannah Thompson with no explanation just like they did with the two actresses who played blonde daughter in the last seaon of Rosanne... Blonde daughter to Blonde Doctor... You go blonde Actress!
