So T:SCC's ability to avoid the axe could be a one-off that doesn't apply to other shows, but there are several on the wrong side of the cancellation line that I think will also survive: Chuck, Knight Rider and Prison Break. One thing I’ve always believed is that there is some financial enticement to Fox either in the way of cost of episodes, an advertising arrangement or both involving the forthcoming Terminator: Salvation movie scheduled for a May release. It just made sense as a natural promotion opportunity to have TSCC on the air in May. I know some of you will chime in with “but, the movie has nothing to do with the TV show, is made by different people, isn’t made by Fox so Fox won’t care!” Warner Bros is in on the production of TSCC and Warner Brothers Pictures is the US distributor of the Terminator movie this May. While it’s purely speculative on my part and I’m pretty sure we’ll never know, I don’t think it’s nonsensical that Fox could’ve had additional incentives for the pickup.
If those aren't paid downloads, then there must be product placements in the show for those to count. That would allow DVR ratings to count as well. What kind of trucks has everyone been driving?![]()

Hulu and Fox.com are ad-supported, not unlike television, but with a better guarantee that the audience will stick around for the ads (given the 30-60 second commercial breaks). The first two weeks or so of online viewing are also royalty-free for the networks under the most recently negotiated talent contracts.
Except as fall ratings after the strike-induced gap, showed, audiences simply won't return if given that long to forget the show.I actually rather get a third season of 13 episodes. I wish more shows would do 13 episode seasons, if the show is really good you have 26 episodes a year, if not you have 13. Instead of the "fall" shows" and the "summer" shows, of 22 episodes, just break things up to four seasons.
With the movie out I can understand why they have done it but FOX would be really stupid to give it a 3rd season though it would be nice to see a network treat fans and give it a 3rd season the same length as the 1st season to fill a gap or something in line ups when other shows get canned normally 2 for FOX before November. Also use them like Jericho to go out with a fucking blast and wrap up much as possible.

Though the rumor is still floating that they're going to move it to Wednesdays at 9:00 after Bones.
I would rather have the show to be cancelled though, if this would mean that their own plot would be compromised because they have to follow whatever happens in T4 and beyond (and don't those movies follow T3's timeline, which TSCC also ignores?). Tie-ins when possible, fine. But I don't want their hands to be tied by what goes on with the movies, they should follow their own creative vision. This is out of the norm for FOX, but the shock is lessened when one realizes they clearly are hoping to capitalize on a Christian Bale led T:4 Salvation.
Frankly at this point I would fully expect that the writes will begin to tie their offshoot chronology back into T4 in any way they can. The shows survival will depend on it for any season 3. Because its become apparant that with 6million viewers the concept is too niche and disconnected from what is known for TSCC to stand on its own in a pocked universe.
