Disney hadn't initially planned on highlighting Jeff Bridges' appearance in Tron: Ares with its marketing, but the Oscar-winning actor forced the studio's hand.

This claims last year Jeff Bridges publicly letting slip he is in movie forced Disney to change marketing campaign. My memory is fuzzy on when we first learned. Is that what really happened?
Really the Jared Leto situation made Bridges presence in marketing inevitable. I can not imagine how they were planning to do it otherwise. Maybe if they were focused on Evan Peters and Greta Lee instead. Regardless of Leto’s personal life and past box office it’s full Leto in marketing. Often with “publicity buddy” Jeff Bridges along for the ride. I put in quotes deliberately. Who knows what there real professional or personal relationship is. This is marketing campaign.
On a Tron Facebook group I have shared a lot of official Disney videos I post here too. The one with OG Lightcycle was not approved. Did not realize there was new spoiler post created. Which raises the topic which often comes up with new movies - is it a spoiler if it’s all over marketing?
I suspect that scene is edited different that what is in movie. It appears Flynn looks on as Ares uses Lightcycle for first time. Would not surprise if Ares uses that OG bike to find Flynn.
