I noticed the preview for next week's episode features someone being put in a body bag.

The hell? An emergency evacuation where you can't bring food and water, but someone remembers to bring a body bag? Or are supposed to assume this is an Ancient body bag?

As far as soap, that's animal fat, combined with ashes, plus some flower pedals or leaves. That gives you a paste that drys into a solid form. If they have the ability to do laundry, then that fixes 'female problems', there's a reason it use to be called being on the rag. I know a lot of people who brush their teeth with salt -- they're going to need salt, soldiers in the field sweat it out.

The off ship teams who gather food, fruit, veggies, root, will eventual need to hunt (risky to eat alien meat?). If they find Destiny's air lock the meat can be exposed to vacuum to preserve it, think jerky.

Does the doctor have the means to transfuse blood? Sooner or later somebody is going to get busted up bad.
