Trip & T'Pol Appreciation Society, 2010 Edition

I have screencapping on my computer. If you can precisely describe the scene you were going for, I can get it for you.

Infinite Diversity in Infinite Combinations, one of the most basic Vulcan philosophies. The pendant T'Pol was given in the Vulcan arc and hung on Elizabeth's incubator represents that.

I found Trip's interest in T'Pol understandable. The fact that this attraction was shared by the SubCommander defied logic. His ears were round and undefined.

How does that defy logic when the very message of Surak is IDIC? Could she not appreciate the differences between her pointed ears and his crescent shaped ones?

I was referring to physical attraction. With T'Pol being a prime specimen of sound body and mind and perfectly defined ears the human engineer was more bland with yellow hair and undefined ears. The human adage of "opposites attract" comes to mind.

I wouldn't necessarily call them opposites, as they share some key traits--both are intelligent, both can be pretty stubborn, both have a hard time telling the other what they really want from each other, etc. Sure, physically they're opposites, but in the ways that matter, I'd describe them as complimentary, not opposites.

I guess you could say that... But I wouldn't say they're complete opposites physically... Vulcans and Humans share like, 90% of common physical characteristics. Vulcans are virtually identical to us neck down (though we can't be sure about their reproductive organs, and I always imagined their female genitals to be mostly green  ).

Height: One is tall, one is short
Hair: One is light, one is dark
Eyes: One is light, one is dark
Complexion: One is fair with a pink hue, one is kinda bronzed with a greenish hue

Yes, if we're talking DNA and basic physiology, humans and Vulcans are similar. But I'm speaking of the things that contribute to physical attraction. i don't know about you, but I haven't asked a guy for a genetic profile or an X-ray before I'd go out with him yet...

Neither have I, but then again, I rarely even date girls, let alone guys (my GF wouldn't like that)...

"E^2" was on HRT today... Didn't like it much this time around either... Even though it's an essential TnT episode and all... It's just... Lorian doesn't strike me as T'Pol's sone AT ALL. What ever.

they have a good friction and chemistry together. largely credited with the writers and acting ability of Conner and Jolene. They played well off of each other. Delivery of lines, body language, etc. enjoyable to watch those two.
