In discussions on how ENT could have been made better, swapping Trip (with his existing character traits intact) into the role of ship's captain would be at the top of my list.

Yes! He would've made a great Captain. Archer could've been the Steward, it's more his level.

As a captain, Trip couldn't have slept with T'Pol. Make a few allusions to her breasts and ass, sure! but sleep with her? No way!

Why? We've seen Kirk, Picard and Janeway all have relationships with crewmembers, one even producing offspring.

And abandon them for the latter... I wonder if there is an exception in the federation's rules that allows someone to discard their children when they change species after they had them...

I remember the only times Trip eating was the time he took a bite of the pan-fried catfish and the time he was eating pecan pie. There were a few scenes over the course of 4 seasons with him sitting at the Captain's table eating dinner but I don't eve recall him being overly disgusting or annoying. I'll have to pay closer attention next time I do a ENT marathon.

I'm rewatching Enterprise season 3 (my favorite). I'm reminded how much I can't stand hearing Trip eat, chew, or talk while eating. Anyone else bothered by this? It's usually not something that matters to me on TV shows, but they made sure to include all of those gross eating-while-talking sounds in the final cut. Ugggggghhhhh.

I think I am up to the episode when he and Malcolm are discussing his Vulcan neuropressure treatments of Cole and he's finally eating a few bites of mashed potatoes......I noticed nothing loud.....will press on with the search. If it’s the eating scene I’m thinking of, I’m pretty sure Connor Trineer had a cold while they were filming it and his nose was blocked. All the noise he’s making is because he’s having to breathe through his mouth while also eating.
