Trip Asking for Prime Rib

All right, we can narrow down the time frame. I did the refresh and saw teacake's comment, and your Emily post. (Emily Post! Nyuk nyuk nyuk*) Then it took me five minutes to think of the Abrams joke. While typing that line, I thought of the eye joke. That is a long time. Thought I was gonna die!

* = For those souls blessed to know nothing of America's cultural history, "nyuk nyuk nyuk" references one of strangest men who ever lived, who for this moment remain nameless.

I'm just curious ... have any of my past arguments in this thread inspired any of you to give up eating anything with a face? Any of you ... at all?!?!

Yes. I have changed my entire diet because of a thread about Star Trek.

I am no longer going to eat faces, only the rumps, thighs, breasts and wings of fauna.

One thing I remember about Enterprise was that T'Pol said all Vulcans were vegetarians because of killing animals and such.

Wasn't there another Trek episode where Spock or Tuvok remembered something about his youth where he had to do some sort of ritual killing of a wild animal? Or was that a novel? Or am I making things up?

You're probably thinking of The Animated Series, when little kid Spock went on his Kazwan Ritual and had his sehlat killed by a giant green cat with Godzilla's roar dubbed in.

I think Tuvok did that ritual in the book Pathways?

Tuvok also ate BIG spiders in a Voy ep.

"More spider?"

And as I recall Spock at flesh in All our Yesterdays when he was regressed with Zarabeth.

The problem with that holo-history program is they missed the main characteristic of Janeway: she seduces. People do what she wants because she wins them over and they desire to please her. They couldn't figure that out so they gave her a big gun instead.

Let us take from this lesson in failure to understand the subtleties of the past the fact that yes, TATV was a piece of historically inaccurate shit.
