Trilogies you never finished

I have never seen Jurassic Park III. I love the first, really disliked the second, and never gave the third a chance because of that.

It's a stupid fun little dinosaur movie, the ending is kind of dumb. Plus it was one of those movies I had a crush on the "kid" actor.

I also haven't seen Spider-Man 3 yet. I picked it up previously viewed a while ago, but I just haven't had any interest in watching it.

I forgot about Spiderman, boy I hate those movies.

Pirates of the Caribean At World's End I've not seen yet or the Bourne Ultimatum the later because I just haven't gotten around to seeing it yet.

The last Bourne movie is awesome, great movie. Should really check it out.

I never saw any of the Psycho sequels, or Starship Trooper sequels, or Pirates of the Carribbean sequels, or Back to the Future sequels, the third Jurassic Park movie, most of the Godzilla movies, a couple of King Kong movies, Fritz Lang's final Mabuse film, or the last two Terminator movies.

There are probably many more, especially considering the amount of films which have sequels I'd never heard of or others haven't (like those direct-to-DVD affairs).

Wasn't a big fan of the first one. I remember liking it but not to the point of hunting down the sequels.

I never saw any of the Psycho sequels

Don't. They're really terrible. I can't understand why parts two and three were well-reviewed by many critics, nor why the fourth part was panned. They're all just as bad.

And, to put my tolerance for badness in perspective, I like the sequels to The Planet of the Apes!

Back to the Future sequels

I think they're fun, but YMMV.

I haven't seen any of the Starship Troopers sequels, though I probably will at some point (they look so bad I can't possibly look away forever!).

There's plenty of straight-to-DVD sequels that I've missed. S. Darko? War Games 2? Smokin' Aces 2? Yeah, I'll pass.

It's not that they're bad, really the only reason I saw Back to the Future is my cousin had rented it when I was a kid and we saw it on TV.

Of the list I gave I'll probably get around to the final Mabuse film, which was also Fritz Lang's final film, eventually (the first one - or two depending how you count it - is a classic, and the second/third is none too bad either.)

I'm not sure if Highlander counts, since there was that fourth movie, but I've only seen the first two.

I've actually watched a lot of terrible 3rd movies: Jurassic Park, Matrix, Pirates, I've seen them all. Actually JP3 wasn't all that bad. :shifty:

Never saw Spider-man 3 either, and I even own the blu-ray. I got it free with my Playstation.

If they make a third Transformers movie that will be another one I can add to the list.

I don't think there are any. I tend to finish what I start.

Hell, I watched Hellraiser VIII, so that should give you some idea.

Never saw: JP3, Matrix 2 & 3, T3 & 4, Bourne 2 & 3, Jaws 2,3,4, etc, Superman 3 & 4, Godfather 3, nor any Halloween sequel.

I have never seen Jurassic Park III. I love the first, really disliked the second, and never gave the third a chance because of that.

I'm with you on the first two; Lost World especially is painful. But the third really is a lot of fun; it's essentially the unused portions of the first novel expended into a movie, and works quite well. There's no ethical subtext like the first two, but given how badly the moralizing went awry in the second, that's a good thing. A lot of people around here hate it; don't you believe them.

Only saw the first Lord of the Rings, was bored and didn't bother with the other two. I hated the second Matrix so much, I couldn't bring myself to watch the third. Felt the same with Pirates. I also never got around to seeing the third Resident Evil.

Never saw Jaws 3 and stopped at Scream 2.

Probably more but unless its a really big movie I rarely keep up on straight to DVD sequels.

JP3 is actually a lot of fun except for the absolutely ridiculous ending.

JP3 ending wasn't ridiculous, it just came out of no where. I wish the movie was about 20 minutes longer so we could have seen some fun action scenes. :)

Didn't see

The Lost World (did see Jp3)
Back to the Future 3 (saw the ending, that's it)
Jaws 3D (saw parts of it)
Rocky and all of Rocky 3 and Rocky Balboa (6 movies, not a trilogy)
Halloween, Halloween 2 and first half of Halloween 6
Species 3 onward (sadly, I saw Species 2, which was so awful I can't believe it saw theatrical release.)
Mimic 2 and the rest
Children of the Corn 2 through 14 or however many they shouldn't have made.
John Carpenter's Vampires sequels
From Dusk Till Dawn sequels
Starship Troopers 2 and 3
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 1 and 2 (I saw 3 on cable for some f'ed reason.)
The Exorcist 2 and 3 (everyone says NEVER SEE EXORCIST 2)

I know I have seen Jurassic Park 2, but it can't have been a very good film because I literally have no memory of the film whatsoever except a scene where Jeff Goldblum's daughter does some gymnastics to escape from the raptors

3 is coming back to me a little more. I remember the kid hiding out whose parents were the one who hired Sam Neil and I remember there was some huge birdcage where they kept the Pterodactyls, but I don't recall the ending at all.

I also remember the scene on the beach with the little girl getting swarmed by the dinos, bit I don't remember which film it was from.

I never saw The Mummy 3. The first one was pretty much a popcorn movie, and fun in its own way. The second tried to capitalize on that success and failed. The third went in a totally different direction and... I had no interest.

Didn't see the third Matrix movie either. The second was too boring.
