"Trials and Tribble-ations" Line-by-Line

So what you're saying is that the line is accurate to the episode we're line-by-lining?

Then it's a good thing I posted it there. ;)

Next line:

KIRK: Mister Baris, I have guards around the grain, I have guards around the Klingons.

Yes, my point is that it isn't accurate to the TOS episode they were trying to be accurate to.

Jadzia: I can't believe you don't at least want to meet Captain Kirk.

Sisko: Look, of course I want to meet him. I'd like to shake his hand, ask him about... fighting the Gorn on Cestus III, but that's not why we're here, old man.

DAX: You're right. I guess the difference between you and me is I remember this time. I lived in this time and it's hard to not want to be part of it again.

(me, too)

Sisko and Dax enter turbolift.

On K-7, Bashir and O'Brien enter the bar and walk up to Worf and Odo's table.

Bashir: Clearly we've been going about this search business all wrong Chief.

O'BRIEN: You're right. Why bother searching thirty decks, when you can just plonk yourself down at a bar and wait for Darvin to come to you?

BASHIR: A vital clue that others might've missed. How fortunate it is that it has kept you stuck at this bar for the past three hours having drinks while we've been crawling through conduits.
(Scotty, Chekov, and Freeman enter.)

O'Brien: Kirk.

Someone told me that this bit where they think Freeman is Kirk is an inside joke. Supposedly, the actor who played Freeman sometimes doubled for Shatner on certain stunts, so this bit of dialogue was an internal nod to that. Anyone know if that's true?

He did double for Shatner in several episodes, whether or not it's a nod to that, I can't say for sure. I'll try to find out.

Bashir: That's Kirk?
