Trekmovie's starship round-up [SPOILERS]

About fucking time we get some real spoilers! :D

Is the Kelvin named for William Thomson?

I'm sure it will be handled well in the movie, but the idea of Spock flying around in a one-man time ship sounds pretty ridiculous.

Bet he "liberates it" from the Vulcans with zero discussion about "The Temporal Prime Directive". Though I do wonder how come he know's the timeline got altered to motivate him to use this little ship..

Ah well stuff to nitpick after we see the movie I suppose.

Honestly, it's only the fact that this is an entirely new creative team from the people who brought us the "Temporal Cold War" that's keeping me from running screaming from the computer.

I love that the movie will start of in STNG's time. I also like the idea of a timeship for Spock. I never understand fan's qulams about time travel episodes. At some point in ST history time travel is the norm and they even have an agency to deal with it. Time travel is just another side to the coin of warp drive, seems logical to explore it.

This does not bode well for me. So far I have been unable to resist the temptation to check out ANY spoilers that have come this way about the movie, including this one about the ships! I am so doomed if the script gets leaked.

I do worry with Spock having access to a time travel ship that we'll see more complaining from the more fanatical "Bring Back Shatner" crowd.
