TrekBBS Fantasy Baseball League!

Oh... Wait.. It did if you move the roster to tomorrow!

Looks like I did OK..
Thanks and sorry I missed it..

I couldn't be happier with the AL team that I drafted. Led by a pitching staff of Peavy, Haren, Penny, Hudson, Lilly and McGowan as starters and Saito, Corpas, Isringhausen and Accardo as my closers. My offense isn't too shabby either with Miguel Cabrera, Lee, A. Ramirez, V. Wells, McCann, Konerko and Figgins. I'm also expecting bigger things from Aaron Hill and Peralta this year too. I'm looking to see if I can bring back some glory to the DEM (after winning it all in '04 and '05, I finished 5th and 4th overall the last couple of years):techman:

I seem to have a lot of overlap between my Yahoo and ESPN teams (8 players shared between them both), so this year will definately be a make or break season for both...

So, good news for AFZ in the Yahoo NL league: looks like Escobar could be done, permanently. Torn rotator cuff, will be out for the season, may retire...

Oh, perhaps I mis-spoke. That's not good news at all.

On the plus side, he won't use up a DL spot, and it's a little easier to drop him now. Sucks to lose a 10th round pick before the season started, though.

I've already lost someone on my team, but it's not because of injury, it's because he got demoted to Double A ball instead of getting the starter spot I thought he would. Thankfully, he was a 22nd round pick for me :)

Had my first player go on the DL (Kazuo Matsui). Figures that I'd draft a player who lands on the DL because of an "anal fissure".

Despite the fact that the Giants lost to a Triple A team last night, I'm still looking forward to the season because of Fantasy Baseball. So far I've only really made one move and that was to drop Eric Chavez for Travis Buck and I only did it because I wanted to take advantage of the fact that the A's are playing in the regular season already. It didn't help or hurt me so no big deal. Also, Buck was a big prospect last season and I have a feeling that he is going to do well this year and get those hits up higher than last. Anyway, yeah, looking forward to when we get into the thick of things. The good thing is we're two games in and I'm only down 2 to Scout. Giants suck but things are looking up. :D

Wouldn't get too excited about that just yet. I've only played 3 players so far. One of them didn't play well, and the other two were pitchers and combined for 2 innings pitched. To borrow a phrase, I have not yet begun to fight! Our little dustup goes until April 6th, so the asskicking WILL get more severe

Well, I have to get excited about something. The Giants absolutely suck. ;)

It could be worse, tomalok - you could be the guy who made Escobar a keeper in the ESPN Fantasy League. Ouch!

^I wonderred why my ears were tingling.

*Empties coaster's shelves and leaves everything in the coffee shop*

I just noticed that once again the starting times for Yahoo NL is PDT. I know this was fixed last year, but I can't remember if it was an administrator fix or if it was an individual fix. I can't find any signs of it being the latter.

You should be able change your time zone. Go to "My Team" and click on "Edit Team Info". Near the bottom of the page (under "Email Preferences"), you can click on you preferred time zone.
