Boy, it's bad enough when you have two of your relievers going in against each other in a 0-0 game, but when those two RPs are Eric Gagne and Kerry Wood, it's kind of a lose-lose situation. Those 27.00 ERAs they both posted look really special: I'm sure all of the other NL Yahoo teams are in awe of my relief pitchers now.

Unfortunately, in Yahoo, the autodraft saddled me with Gagne and Wood, too. Such is life with the autodraft. I wanted to cut Gagne outright, but thought I'd see what happened. He didn't suck with Texas last year. A few more appearances like that one, however, and he's done. With the Brewers, I mean. I don't think I'll wait as long as they will.

The good thing is we're two games in and I'm only down 2 to Scout. Giants suck but things are looking up.

My pitching in the ESPN league is looking pretty pathetic so far. Last year, it was the only bright spot on my crappy team. It's too early to go into panic mode, but it's already starting to worry me.

Casey Blake was a late draft pick and thus was expendable (in addition to a couple of waiver moves I've made). I have faith in Tom Glavine will be good this season now that he's back in Atlanta.

Not a bad first week for me. Especially considering I have 5 guys on the DL in the two leagues. Long way to go, but better than starting in a deep hole.
