Trek Viewing Over The Next Three Weeks?

Just wondering if others will be viewing any Trek during the last days of April and those first days of May. I plan on watching at least one of the films, probably Nemesis.

I'm also tempted to watch a couple of TOS episodes just to view the characters played by the original actors. I am excited about this film and have embraced it, but I just want to remember the characters as they were originally portrayed one last time.

After the film I know I can watch them again any time I want. However, there is something to be said for the original....as it is was created.

Hope this film regenerates the franchise.

Catching some TOS-RM Season 1 on Netflix. Balance of Terror, Conscience of the King, Galileo 7, This Side of Paradise, Return of the Archons so far.

Also just finished DS9 (first viewing) and started VOY. Yeah, I'm busy.

I’m watching the remastered episode of “The Cage” next weekend when it airs, but other than that I have no specific plans. I watched “Nemesis” again not too long ago. I thought it was a little better than when I watched initially. I may watch one TOS movie over the next week or two. That's about it.

In general, I’m just enjoying everything that is going on with XI and plan to stay focused on that for the time being.

We are currently watching TOS-R and DS9 through from the beginning. We are almost done with the first seasons of both. We finished ENT earlier this year (and VOY before that.. and before that DS9..) We will probably watch more TOS in the next few weeks than DS9 in preperation for the movie.

We also have The Search for Spock and Generations planned for coming weekends.

I was tempted to bring out a few DVDs, but I suspect this film will be so different that it won't do any good to watch them. Might just finish Early Edition season 1 instead.

I'm hoping that a few Trek films will be shown on TV around the time of release.

started watching TNG a few days ago. almost finished with season 1. i'd be watching TOS if i had it on dvd. or my old vhs didn't eat tapes.

I had that thought too and truthfully if it was just me I would probably not choose my viewing in expectation of the film. I am steeped in TOS so it's hardly necessary. But I am indoctrinating a 12 year old who has seen all of VOY and ENT and is very very enthused about the TOS he has seen (isn't that great? there is hope!). So we watch TOS to, hopefully, appreciate the film more. To quote Phlox, "OPTIMISM!"

Watched "Where No Man Has Gone Before Tonight". My primary reason was to watch Kirk and Spock as Shatner and Nimoy played them. I really hope the new Kirk and Spock do a good job.

I went through the TOS movies within the last two weeks and since last week I am working my way through the Remastered versions of the Original Series.

I am loving every minute of it!

Watched TMP and TWOK last week.

Watched TSFS last night (Tues).

Was gonna watch TVH this evening, but got the DVD's of PRIMEVAL (Season One & Two) from Netflix today and watched the first two of those instead.

Going to watch the rest of the Classic Crew Movies before seeing JJ-Trek.

Definitely planning on watching the remastered version of the first pilot sometime this weekend.

Last 6 days to go for the new film, and I will watch Undiscovered country, back to The Motion Picture...

 

[Too Much Fun]

Been watching the re-mastered "Star Trek" episodes and watched "The Wrath of Khan" and "The Voyage Home". The only other Star Trek movie I'm planning on watching before the new one is "Star Trek: First Contact". In my opinion those are the three best ones.

I'm keeping TMP until the end as well. Have watched several of the films recently, including Insurrection yesterday. Next up is probably Generations. And in between, I'm just picking episode from all shows I feel like watching. But I gotta say: after about six, seven years in which I barely touched Star Trek on DVD, the new movie has gotten me all excited about it again. Hell, I even bought some action figures!

I watched the TOS films with my hubby (he saw them for the first time) prior to seeing the new film. After seeing it, we've watched a few select TOS episodes.
