Trek VI 25th anniversay

I agree, considering after thirty years of service, if not more, the Head of Communications/Operations of a starship and a Lt Commander, does not know the language of the Federation's greatest enemy? Yeah right. Or maybe it was an obscure Klingon dialect....like Latin.

It would have been much better if there was a scene of the enterprise sneaking into Klingon space trying to avoid their ships or something. It could have been a tension filled sequence instead of the buffoonery we did get.

TUC will always be my second favorite of the original 6 movies. Great plot, great dialogue, and veyr intriguing. Yeah, there are some production weaknesses, and it's a shame Valeris was shoehorned in instead of Saavik, but it's still a great movie.

Of course one could always have gotten the computer to give a text transaltion, not to mention you could type in what you wanted to say and the computer could give you a text translation of that. No need for any books.
More logical, less funny.

Besides, wasn't that option more or less covered in the dubbed line, "The universal translator would be recognized"?
