There's an EXTREMELY lengthy thread in the misc section for people to discuss what podcasts in general they're listening to, but I'm interested in specifically discussing ones pertaining to Trek.
For my part, there's two I've been listening to lately.
The first was "Trek Untold", which is an interview podcast, which focuses on guest stars and crew members who haven't been interviewed so much (though he has interviewed quite a few main cast members too)..
It's interesting to hear some of the stories they have to tell. For example, Ron Canada originally auditioned to play Martok in "Way of the Warrior" and impressed everyone so much that one of the producers called him at home to discuss it... but then J.G. Hertzler (who is an old friend of Ron's) came in an completely blew them away. Also, Erick Avari is happy to talk about his role in the original "Stargate" movie (which he had a lot of fun making), but not so much about his stereotypical role in "Encino Man". Also Harvey Jason (Felix Leech in "The Big Goodbye") is pretty much retired from acting and runs a book store that focuses on first editions.
The second is "The Delta Flyers", where Garrett Wang and Robbie McNeill do a weekly rewatch and discussion of Voyager episodes (as of this week, they're a few episodes into season 4). They're two really smart and insightful guys who are also really funny, so it's an interesting listen. I just listened today to the one where they review the episode "Faces". What was really fun about this one was they brought in Brian Markinson, who played both Lt. Durst and Sulan in the episode (apparently he and Robbie reconnected years later when Brian appeared on a show Robbie was producing and became friends), so he discussed the make-up (including having a fake version of his face, over his Vidiian make up, over his real face). I would've loved if they could've gotten Roxann in for this episode too, because she apparently was really nervous during the making of the episode and drove the director and writers crazy with questions, trying to get everything right.
Which ones do you listen to?
