Trek Movie Marathon

I was curious if anyone has ever attended or arranged their own Star Trek movie marathon. Currently, with 11 movies such a marathon would span approx. 21 hours. I once played the movies 1-9 consecutively one summer Saturday in 2002 from about 11AM until 1 or 2 in the morning, by the end of which I was :ack:

Never tried it, but if I did, I would just split it up - TOS movies (three at a time in two nights) and then TNG movies (two at a time in two nights).

And then nuTrek on a night all its own.

Have watched the TWOK-TSFS-TVH trilogy in a block many, many times.

Never tried 1-6 or 1-10 in one go. I remember a Sydney cinema was showing 1-6 once, but the thought of twelve hours in a cinema seat...no thanks

The biggest Trek marathon I ever attempted was the whole of TOS Season 1 in a weekend with some friends. The only rule was that the DVD's must keep playing all the time. I think I slept through only 4 episodes. Not bad considering the amount of alcohol we consumed

I've done 1 - 9, Sky were showing them as part of a Trek vs Wars week.

If I remember correctly it started at 10am and finished just before 4am, with I guess between 5-10 min breaks for adverts after films and a half hour break at 7pm. It was alright, I've been meaning to do all 11 but haven't got around to it yet.

I had thought about it, but honestly, the idea was ONLY appealing before I saw all of them.

I did a marathon of TMP, TVH, TUC and First Contact on Sci-fi once. It took 10 hours.
