Joseph Ruskin has a role as a hoodlum in the tv movie 'Munster's Revenge'.
Dynarski's scene was in the original 1977 theatrical release but cut from the 1980 'Special Edition'.Yes Gene Dynarski's scenes as the power plant foreman were deleted but he is still listed in the end credits for some bizarre reason!!!

Spielberg himself didn't like and thought showing the mothership interior was a mistake.I think the revamped version was a bit too much to be honest. Definitely not as good as the original I saw in 1977!

"The Squire of Gothos" aired about 4 weeks before "The Prince and the Paupers" episode of The Monkees. According to this, the Trek ep was filmed in October/November 1966 and the Monkees ep in December.Costume cameo! Found this on Facebook - Trelaine's outfit showed up on Mike Nesmith. No idea which came first.

Or not. Whoever the costumer was that supplied the coat apparently had at least two of them.Another character can also be seen wearing what appears to be the same coat.

In the image gallery linked above, there are at least two or three shots giving a view from the front. If they're not different-sized but otherwise identical, you'd have to examine them pretty closely to be able to spot the difference. It was probably a rental from Western Costume. On Trelane, you can see the coat and matching cape. The coat shows up on Gilligan's Island as well as The Monkees. I didn't know there were two coats. It looks like the second one is only seen from behind on The Monkees, in which case it might not be a full match.
He was probably right too although the other added scenes made the film dull and far too long!

OMG, it's so weird seeing her as a human.Speaking of the Monkees, Georgia Schmidt (Talosian #2 from "The Cage") was in two episodes:

Schmidt at 60 years old, was actually the only 'old' woman of the three main Talosians. Wylie (or Wyllie as she has also been billed) was 47, Serena Sande (the tall one) was a youthful 35 (almost 36).As a child I always thought Meg Wylie was pretty scary as the Keeper or Magistrate if you like. Then years later I find out 'he' was a she and that was creepy too! How I didn't catch Meg as the actresses name beats me now although I probably never read the names back then! Great idea I think now to have had old ladies playing the emaciated, creepy Talosians instead of old men like the actors playing the 'survivors' on the surface!
