Trek/clothes; Public?

I don't think I've ever owned any Star Trek attire. So no - I didn't wear any when the shows were on...nor do I wear any now.

The last time I wore Trek clothing in public I was 10 (this was probably about 1980). It was a T-shirt that had Spock on it.

Haven't done it since, and don't plan to.

What difference does it make if the shows are still on the air or not?

I have a Spock t-shirt that I wear proudly at times, I don't see why I shouldn't.

Agreed... Just last night I wore a TREK shirt I have that has Picard-Sisko-Kirk on it and peopel actually asked me if I knew anything about the new movie. So this shows that a buzz is out there for the new movie...JJ is a master at hype. Can't wait to see what they do in terms of PR for the new movie

I never wore anything but I still have a TOS captains delta insignia in a box in the basement (not the same basement as I'm a lot older now and have moved around the country since then).

I don't own any Trek-related clothing anymore so no, but I did have a Star Trek the Experience shirt a few years back that I wore every once in a while.

People who know me know that I'm a science-fiction enthusiast. If someone asks if I'm a sci-fi fan, I'll answer honestly. I'm also a member of a local sci-fi club.

Me to! I've been an active member of STARFLEET: The International Star Trek Fan Association for over 14 years now!

I don't normally where anything unless it's a "Chapter Event"

Good point.

BTW: For several Halloweens now I where a ST:First Contact "Uniform", I got promoted in 2006 to "Commodore" for my club so I need to break out an ST: Insurrection Admiral's this year. I went to Warp-one in England online and ordered one. It's very nice!

Sure, I have Trek shirts that I wear in public. I bought them because I liked them, and they're shirts, after all -- being worn is what they're for!:vulcan: I also have, and wear, shirts for my church, my son's sports teams, various good causes I've fund-raised for, other sf shows, and various literary- and grammar-geek themes that amuse me. I'm quite comfortable with my inner geek, thanks!

I also have a TOS movie-era bridge jacket, but I only wear that to movie premieres. :::wonders if it's in good enough repair for one more movie::: That's more of a specialized piece of clothing -- and besides, it's too damn hot to wear most of the time!

I wear a Starfleet Academy ring I bought at the Experience. I also have several Trek-related baseball caps that I wear on the weekend. I save my uniforms for conventions.

I forgot to mention my starfleet hat too!!! Thanks for reminding me. It has the Federation emblem on it and I've had it for years..cool hat..

I had a few t-shirts I used to wear when I was in middle school. Now I have a tie with all 4 captains and one with TOS bit 7. I wear them on funny tie day at work.

I've got a whole bunch of retro movie/ tv show t-shirts that I wear all the time in summer. If it's a nice item of clothing, I'll wear it - anyone who doesn't like it doesn't have to look at it - although I usually find that I get mostly good comments from people who like the film/ show in question. I have to admit I don't own any Star Trek ones at the moment. If I did, I'd wear it!

I have a few Star Trek shirts, and a Comm Badge (and a tricorder, actually) but my favorite is this one:

And of course I wear them in public! I mean, why not? Show the love!

Nice shirt, but next time please don't bump a three-year old thread. You could have just started a new one instead. :)
