They're probably looking to take advantage of that July 4th long weekend in the US. It's a smart strategy. Hopefully it pays off for them. I could see this taking in 75-80 million dollars opening weekend easily.

This is pretty cool. Both the "Green Lantern" and "Transformers: Dark of the Moon" scores will be coming out on the same day.

As someone who has learned to hate the two previous films, I would just like to say: Holy shit this looks awesome!

And as someone who generally hates 3-D and finds it to be a pointless, worthless gimmick (except for maybe in Avatar & Tron Legacy), I would just like to say: Holy shit I need to see this in 3-D!!!

But seriously, can we stop doing the trailer bit where Shia Labeouf screams, "Optimus!" at the top of his lungs? I swear, that was about half of his lines in the 2nd one.

My guess is they'll bring in another director but Bay will stay on as a producer.
